    Atlas 3591 NTSB Animation released

I don’t get it. I mean, I assume the FO didn’t even glance at his gauges?

This is the Golden Age of Aviation

Haha. I tried to adjust the air vent on the 172 on my first solo XC a couple weeks ago. Damn thing came off in my hand. Quality! But honestly it didn’t bother me much. Just loving the fact of being 5,500 ft above the NorCal terra firma getting to do what I love. Thankfully the upholstery was...

So, student pilots.. Who are we and where do we stand?

Very cool! I’ve often wondered how other airplanes feel. I too have 35 hours, almost all in a 172, with a few in a 152. Exciting? No, a good way to learn? Yes. I dream of one day owning my own Vans RV (4,6 or 8). Can only imagine how they fly compared to the Cessna.

First solo soon nervousness and questions

You’ll probably solo soon if your CFI is having you take the test. But he won’t send you out by yourself unless he’s sure you’re ready. You’ll be fine. Focus on nailing your airspeed, look to the end of the runway, trying NOT to land the airplane. Let the excess energy bleed off, don’t rush it...

So, student pilots.. Who are we and where do we stand?

Took a SW flight from LAX to SFO today. 1st thing I did upon boarding was to let the flight attendant know I have 35 hrs in a 172 so would be available to assist the pilots if needed. I assume that was the correct procedure? She looked duly impressed.

Premier 1 driver reported to FAA by "pilot"

Coincidently I was given instruction for a 15 mile straight in, report 4 mile final in a Delta today. Couldn’t get a word in until 3.5 miles out. Should I be worried the FAA will come knocking on my door any minute?

Premier 1 driver reported to FAA by "pilot"

I like the turn this thread has taken. The previous horse was most definitely beaten to a bloody pulp. Seeing what unfolds with this possible matchmaking is way more interesting.

    New Diamond DA50

I guess I’m just not familiar with how the other half live. More power to them.

    New Diamond DA50

Can someone enlighten me as to who the target demographic is? Who spends $850k when a quarter of that will get you a very nice second hand airplane, with similar performance and updated avionics? RV-10 anyone? Just curious.

Wouldn’t that be a Geeser Landing.... sorry, not sorry.

    Well I'm certified, now what?

It’s a catch 22. Lived in LA for 25 years, now in the Bay Area. Would love to live somewhere else (coastal South Carolina comes to mind), but the money is too good in CA and helps pay for my flying. What to do?? Speaking of CA, I distinctly remember an RG Beard on Socalsportbikes.org. Gotta be...

You gotta fly Virgin or British. Quality service.

Premier 1 driver reported to FAA by "pilot"

Whether he makes a couple YT bux or not, I’d like a checking account like his. Fly my own jet around for work. Pretty badazz.

Premier 1 driver reported to FAA by "pilot"

Interesting: this thread involving a guy making zero infractions has165 posts. The thread about the dip**** busting the Vegas Bravo only has 156. Very telling..... I personally don’t have a problem with Micaiaiahahaaiha being a pilot as long as he’s proficient and doesn’t endanger others lives...

Premier 1 driver reported to FAA by "pilot"

Sorry, but this makes no sense. You like Flightchops but you’re annoyed by his YT success? Why? You’re annoyed because the guy put the time and effort into something and it paid off? You’re annoyed by him doing new & unique things. So it’d be better if he just posted vids of him flying the...

So, uhh... wow? (pilot in class Bravo without clearance, McCarran)

He don’t need no stinkin flight plan. Doesn’t even need a clearance into the Bravo apparently.

Premier 1 driver reported to FAA by "pilot"

Exactly..... @apr911 I never said the GFM page neither predated nor came after the YT comment. Not sure how you derived that. And to your point re what does/does not constitutes compensation his page actually says “come fly with me”, and is asking folks to pay for it. Sounds exactly like being...

Premier 1 driver reported to FAA by "pilot"

Micaiah got “offended” by Premier 1’s reply to his YT comment. Had a hissy fit and set the FAA on him. And has the gall to beg for $76k on Go Fund Me to have other folks pay for his flying (doesn’t that violate the whole not paying less than the prorated share of costs as a PPL?). Good lord...
