Roadblocks in purchasing a plane. What can I do?

How? There are no "problems" with my reported income other than the fact that I didn't report a ton of it. That money is neither here nor there. There's no way to know exactly how much it was. However, just from doing some quick estimating, I can make a good rough guess. I started working at my...

Roadblocks in purchasing a plane. What can I do?

What does cosigning actual entail? I know it works with regards to the credit score, but would it circumvent the income problem too?

Roadblocks in purchasing a plane. What can I do?

20% is about the max of what I can do. I'm a poor kid. I don't have $10,000- $15,000 lying around. If I did, I would just save up a little more and buy it outright instead of financing. Either way, they'd either lower my term or jack up my interest rate to make the payments about the same.

Roadblocks in purchasing a plane. What can I do?

So I found a Cessna 150 I want to buy. It can be seen here: https://www.controller.com/listings/aircraft/for-sale/24647841/1971-cessna-150 I got a quote from AOPA on financing and they said 85% of the either the value or purchase price (whichever one is lower) could likely be financed, which...

Should I buy a nose wheel or tailwheel airplane?

Hint, I really don't give a rat's sorry ass what you think.

Should I buy a nose wheel or tailwheel airplane?

Yeah, I never take people seriously who say crap like that. Who cares? Nose wheel planes are more modern and practical. I like them better simply because.....I just like them better. That's good enough reasoning for me. Doesn't make me less of a pilot. Tailwheel planes belong on a black and...

Will a 150 take off on grass?

I'll get some more later. I'd post a video but it says it's too big to post. It only like 50 seconds.

Will a 150 take off on grass?

Just measured and I've got about 1,800'-1,900' of grass runway. 2,200' if you count my front yard. It's about another 1,800'-2,000' to the treeline (which is also a hill) on one side. The other side has some trees and a treeline just to the right to watch out for, but if you turn slightly left...

    Cheap hangar construction options

Here's a pic of the area I'm going to build it. Mowed out a patch 35' x 30' just to see the size of it. Shouldn't he hard at all. Just going to leave the ground like it is (at least to start with). Here's also some pics of our property and the grass strip.

    Cheap hangar construction options

Well, the 150's wingspan is 33', so it would need to be about 35'-40' I'm guessing. If I'm creative about how I acquire my materials, I think I can do it for next to nothing. Like I said, dad's a logger and sawmiller. I think I can get materials from him.

    Cheap hangar construction options

I'm thinking about building a pole barn to store it in. Supposed to be simple to build, cheap, and sturdy. Lots of info on youtube on how to build. Was also think about buying a decent sized carport used, cutting it and making it bigger by adding materials. Not sure if that would work well though.

    Cheap hangar construction options

Looking for tips and advice on low-cost DIY hangar building. By low-cost I'm talking in the hundreds of dollars (maybe a couple thou at the highest). I want to construct a cheap hangar to store a plane on my property. I've been trying to do research on DIY fabric buildings. My dad owns a...
