    Skydiving, anyone done it?

Just under 500 for me. I'm on board with the do a tandem first advice. You'll get more out of your first solo if you do the sensory overload jump as a tandem.

Is there any profit in refurbishing aircraft?

I guess the only thing left to do is "show em how it's done". Anyone know how to make a small fortune in aviation?

    Injured...

Possibly the health insurer is seeing this as a motor vehicle accident so they can get out of paying/transfer the cost to the motor vehicle (aircraft) insurance.

    What's your favorite Video game?

My favorite was Defender. The one that always sticks in my head was Adventure, although it's not really a video game since it was text based. My father worked for Comshare, a computer time vendor in the 70's and would bring home a terminal that the phone headset plugged into to work from home...

    70hp Boat at 17 Volts!

I've run into a couple 80's vintage outboards that would overcharge like that when hooked to an AGM battery, but be fine with a regular flooded cell battery. Both times it was inline Yamaha outboards. Depending on what motor you have the regulator/rectifier may be water cooled. If not it's a...

    [NA] Portable jump starters

I've found my portable jump box useful a number of times, so much so that I wouldn't hesitate to replace it if it got lost or appears to have battery issues. YMMV

    [NA] Portable jump starters

The new good ones use lithium batteries and hold a charge very well. A good plan might be to top off the charge at each oil change interval or something of the like. How are they better than jumper cables? I like my wife to have the ability to jump start her own vehicle without the need to...

    Wingsuit crash

I've got 2 wingsuit jumps, one out of a skyvan and one out of a twin otter. The ride up is disconcerting because the wingsuit is very restrictive to your motion compared to a regular jumpsuit. The feeling of "flight" is incredible. You'll not find me doing any proximity stuff.

    Voltage Regulator or Alternator issue?

One thing to remember when your are checking resistance on the wires, one strand of wire making contact is enough to give you a low ohm reading but may not be enough to carry the load to make the system work. Corrosion and lose connections can many times also pass a simple resistance check. A...

So it appears that the lesson to be learned is that "Lesson's Learned" is where it is ok to discuss limiting peoples constitutional rights when on POA.

    Prop "Strike"?

To legally fly this aircraft away from the fly in wouldn't the determination of prop strike or not need to be made before departing? Obviously not an issue if the pilot did not know about the contact with the light until informed upon arrival at the home base airport where the aircraft has...

    physics question / skydiving weight

I'd rather have a "line over" than a "nut under". A line over is a serious malfunction where one or more suspension lines goes over the canopy most always resulting in a cutaway. A nut under refers to male anatomy and harness straps as it relates to the above mentioned sudden deceleration.
