For my night XC, we left in daylight and flew for an hour. Landed, went to a steakhouse and had supper. Returned after dark, took off for the final two legs, and only counted the two "night legs" as night XC.

Began training for PPL March 16th.....8 hrs so far, weather has been horrible. All training has been in a C172, but I purchased a Cherokee 140/160 this week.

I'm 54 and started March 16. I've got 5 hrs under my belt and this is the coolest thing I've ever done!

I got my first 3rd class medical just this week. Passed the exam with flying colors, but had to provide a letter from my family doc stating that I have been taking the same BP script for 11 years with no problems.
