Yes the idea is to lower the nose and reduce power on the good engine until you regain control. But not much you can do 2-3 seconds after liftoff. I'm doing my CMEL add-on next week I'm hoping my wife doesn't see this video

March-May in MS. When you learn in 10-15kt winds, dodging thunderstorms you can handle anything later. It was great for learning Wx planning. My solo featured a 12kt wind 80 degrees off the nose.

I am doing the same. I read the PHAK, AFH, PTS/ACS's 3 times already with PPL/Inst/CPL. so I read the AIH (boring psycho babble), and now I'm working the ASA test prep for the writtens. After that I will work on the serious stuff with my CFI. Hopefully be thru by end of summer
