Coming clean on medical. Tell FAA or just apply for a new one?

Yes, contact Dr. Bruce Chien. I don't think there's many members that can tell you exactly what to do unless they had the same exact experience you have had. http://www.aeromedicaldoc.com/ Read over his website and then go to "How to start" to contact him.

    YouTube guys

How can you be a pilot of you can't multitask by watching the video and closing the banner? Forwarding this to the FAA right now.

    YouTube guys

Call me a Gen-Z'er but I do have to agree with what @Jim K said. Now imagine all of those jobs combined into one. A lot of big people who post flying videos (and other generes as discussed later) have to make sure the audio is clear, the color is bright and vibrant to set the mood for the...

ADHD and the FAA; A new update

Good news and bad news! Bad news is they have sent me a demand letter. They said they want "current history and clinical examination from your treating physician regarding your history of the possibility of Tourette's syndrome". The good news is, they didn't say anything about the Autism...

ADHD and the FAA; A new update

My AME said they recently had someone receive their medical via certified mail. Maybe coronavirus has changed things a little. Fingers crossed.

ADHD and the FAA; A new update

What would the demand letter... demand? I provided all my Medical History and the neurocog from Dr. Kay and passed with flying colors and rainbows. A psychiatric evaluation for my bull**** Aspergers diagnosis?

ADHD and the FAA; A new update

I did but didn't see my name. Maybe I will have to take this letter to my HIMS AME then?

ADHD and the FAA; A new update

Update 6/25/2020: I've been calling Oklahoma City every other day (Thursday -> Thursday, Monday -> Wednesday -> Friday) I called Oklahoma City and was talking to a lady and provided her with my PI #. She said a "confirmation letter" was sent out yesterday, 6/24/2020. She said she can't confirm...

    Teach me about streaming music

Spotify is what I've been using. I create playlists for all types of situations like summer driving, night driving (nice oldies to take it slow), pump music, rap, etc. Premium/subscription isn't really needed unless you don't want to sit through ads every 5-10 songs (I can't remember). I'm...

Very good story and inspiring to those who have recovered and want to get back into the air. Thanks for sharing!

Trying to get my 3rd Class Medical with prior substance abuse showing up and no legal trouble

I don't want this to seem like all AMEs in PA are bad. I just have no experience with them so do your own research but I'll tell you for my ADHD, I've gone with Dr. Tordella in Atlantic City. 30 years of experience, former TWA and Air Force pilot. Very straight to the point. He may seem a little...

    Free or reduced CogScreen

I think so. I read something about in 2013 (I think) where people got to take the test anonymously and got their scores back.

Difficult Medical for 3rd Class Student Pilot, Where to start

I couldn't find anything from the FAA for dehydration besides and article they posted letting us know about the effects of dehydration and how it affects pilots. Still take those papers to your AME as they will know if it will be of significance.

Difficult Medical for 3rd Class Student Pilot, Where to start

Yes that was my mistake. I was tired that night especially after writing the everything after (since I went back to add that at the end). I was thinking of a glider for some odd reason. My mistake thanks for catching

Difficult Medical for 3rd Class Student Pilot, Where to start

In any case I'm in the same situation you are but also got a ridiculous (and false) diagnosis of Aspergers (now Autism Spectrum Disorder). What @murphey said is important, but I'll make a quick checklist that's IMPORTANT you follow for ADHD. Receiving your medical when having a previous...

After 1.5 years and OVER $125k, I finally got my SI

Once I go to the college I'm looking it, I'd hope to join their collegiate ALPA group and help guide other students in their medical issues and start a website that focuses specifically on medical certification via HIMS, SSRI usage, Basic Med, etc. by tracking the progress of someone's steps...

After 1.5 years and OVER $125k, I finally got my SI

Considering the cogscreen-ae is administered to people with ADHD (OMG thats me! Hii) and pretty much all airline pilots being hired, I would say that's an over-exaggeration! Seriously though, congratulations. It always makes me smile when I see somebody get their medical after hearing about...
