    Special Issuance Timing (Update)

Depends on what your case is about. Drug history or alcohol dependence may take awhile, others may only take a month to couple of months.

    Stressed about something old.

That is very significant information that is, by default, enough to not allow an airman to fly. When filling out the form you are filling it out to the best of your knowledge. If someone were to somehow forget that information, I would be concerned.

2020 PoA site operations fundraiser - help keep PoA running (and free!)

Not really. I'm not sure how the states visited work, but I assume its just an image you attach in your forum signature. If so, then no. Unless PoA website image proxy is messed up, it is a problem of the image hoster, not PoA

ADHD and the FAA; A new update

Well something came in the mail today, and nowhere did it say "Certified", opened the letter and there it was, a glorious page of Special Issuance and a medical certificate for first-class. Senior year in high school will be a lot less stressful! They only require another note from my treating...

ADHD and the FAA; A new update

Called OKC and my guy, the OG, Dave, answered and saw my authorization is on the way! Let's see what it stipulates. I'll let you all know when I get it. Very excited as my name now shows on the airman registry online too!

    Stressed about something old.

Should I worry about the stitches I had on my foot for scraping it on a tuna can in a trash bag? I wouldn't worry unless your hospitalizations led to further complications.

Is the FAA really that slow?

I had my info sent in in late May and got my demand letter (for my absolute BS Tourettes diagnosis) sent on June 23rd, keep in mind this was ADHD + Autism Spectrum Disorder (Without a psychiatric evaluation). Maybe they've got things moving along, then again @bbchien always knows best.

first class medical adhd + anxiety?

Glad you did all your research and did well on the neuropsychological eval! Do not worried about being denied, that shouldn't happen. Though I don't have access to your medical records, the FAA rarely sends a denial letter just because they didn't receive all the info they need on another...

ADD? Over 30 years ago, haven’t flown in 20. Problem?

If there was never a diagnosis and it doesn't exist in your medical records, then you never had ADHD/ADD

Has anyone taken the HIMS Neuropsych test?

I was about to post what the cogscreen was until I re-read your post and saw you already did it! I actually didn't mind (besides the exorbitant money I've had to spend for my ADHD, ASD, and now demand letter for my Tourettes syndrome from years ago). I was slightly stressed but after the 1st...

Coming clean on medical. Tell FAA or just apply for a new one?

I can't comment on what you will have to due since you mistakenly put down you don't have any diagnosis when in fact you did. As per getting an SI, its not hard at all. Its just a neuropsychological evaluation and thats it as long as you only have ADHD. It could be $2,500 to $4,000 but not too...
