Would a hybrid work? Like, gas for the way up and the travel, but electricity on the way down.

Maybe... I was thinking kind of like a hybrid like my Prius. Uses gas to get up and for most of the mission, but uses mostly electricity for the descent. is that a good idea?

Passed my medical, flying from Brackett Field. I can’t really visit though, I’m at very high risk from COVID because of my asthma.

2000 nm one way (LA-Sedona-Omaha-Detroit-Boston) I’d probably go max 175 nm except for that big trip. 75 lbs normal
