    I can use a VOR but a GPS is a lot better. I have 3 of them and the plane has one too. I don't have to listen for morse code, look up a frequency or turn a knob. But the DPE will want you to use all available resources and that means the VOR. But between you and me, the GPS should be out and on...

    interesting your FBO let you check the plane out for a week....or did I not read that right? what did your FBO charge for that seeing you did 9.4 Hobbs? My FBO wants to charge 4 hrs per day. That would pretty much end my vacations for the next year if I had to pay 7 days at $115/hr and 4 hrs/day...
