question about my career palnning? Sky West

I would recommend to go take a discovery flight at a local flight school. You’ll get hands on with the controls and get a better idea if it’s something you’re passionate about pursuing

question about my career palnning? Sky West

Just remember you will need ATP mins to get hired at an airline. You also need to do your instrument and your commercial prior to getting your CFI. Once you get your cfi you can instruct to gain the time needed for the airline. And yes absolutely any regional carrier will hire pilots with only...

Tall pilot looking to buy a time building plane

a 182 should fit you good! I'm short at 5'7 and I'm almost too short for the plane with its high panel. I have several friends over 6' and they fit comfortably in it, the ability to lower the seats, combo'd with the high panel, and lot of leg room makes it great for tall folk.

    R-ATP Requirements?

Yes. To make it simple you can get one without a bachelors from an approved university from the FAA list. ANYONE regardless of educational background can get an R-ATP at 21 years of age, 200xc time and 1,500 total. So anyone can benifit from the 2 year age reduction and xc time reduction In...

    Electric Scooter 2021

in my view very reliable I’m almost at 500 miles on mine, my girlfriend is around 250 miles, and I have several friends with higher mileage ones as well. No mechanical malfunctions to my knowledge. Most of the issues you see are from people getting them completely submerged, or trying to modify...

    Electric Scooter 2021

So as fair as a "fail" as you mentioned I don't really think that's a common problem at all. Looking at the odometer data I have, I have ridden mine for 450 miles, and my girlfriend has ridden hers for 251 miles. Neither of us have had a failure due in part to the board that caused us to fall. I...

    Electric Scooter 2021

My girlfriend and I ride onewheels. Specifically we have the Pint which I find to be enough. One of the best things to enjoy in our free time and even better for short distances to/from the FBO’s. We recently used them on our key west trip and it couldn’t have been more fun facts: cost is 950...

Cruise Altitude Shortest Flight Time with Best Economy

I fly a naturally aspirated 182T. My best speed is around 8-11k. keep in mind you said your airspeed will decrease, indicated yes, true, not necessarily so, it may increase until you have too big a loss in power then it’ll go the other way. The cruise chart will give better indication on this...

    C172 now, looking at C182s.

I own a 2012 182T and it’s the only plane I’ve ever owned. I instructed for a few years primarily in 172’s so I have plenty of time in both the 182 I find does fly more smoothly and is much better for going places than a 172. That’s not just cause the 6 cylinder engine. But the constant speed...

    Ft Lauderdale, Miami, Marathon

PBI in the past if VFR has had you transition low along the cost like 1000 and below or 500 and below, or directly over the field. There is a lot of airspace down there as you mentioned but in my experience down there they have been fairly accommodating.

    Origin of “Skylane”

The amount of people that think my 182T is turbo is actually funny. And then when I tell them that's the T182T they still look at me confused and don't get it

Saratoga or Mooney or CirrusSR22 or Cessna400

The Cessna TTx was by far the most enjoyable GA aircraft I have ever flown. The controls were amazingly well balanced. You would enjoy the ride that’s for sure. If I was buying between the three you listed though I’d probably find myself in a Cirrus. You couldn’t go wrong though with any of what...

    Flying with e-bikes

Awesome! My girlfriend and I have onewheels, that’s usually the transportation I take with me in my bird, it’s good just for local zipping around places and what not if I’m not getting a rental car. Still wind up using Uber or a rental car for any longer of a trip to/from the airport

Owners: did you overbuy for your original expected mission?

I didn't go over, and I can't say I went under. I didn't really have a specific mission other than to enjoy a personal airplane and take it on small short trips with friends, and to visit family. Main use within FL. I think there are times I always wish I had something faster to make going...

    KTEX Bonanza 10-6-2020

he had shoulder harnesses AND headrests installed via the appropriate STC’s earlier this year. When he first got the plane that was one of the first things he wanted to do it from a safety standpoint and he did infact have those done and installed.
