    Public ADSB information "PRIVATE"

Right, I made the assumption that OP's traffic source was web traffic, not an actual ADS-B In receiver. If it is in fact internet traffic, the FAA link I posted will accomplish exactly what he saw. The fact that his example is was at 43000ft should be enough to tell you that it's not a UAT...

    Public ADSB information "PRIVATE"

You can request it from the FAA. All users of FAA traffic data (Flightaware, FlightRadar24, etc) are obligated to comply. https://ladd.faa.gov/

    Going Experimental?

That only really applies if the equipment is required to meet a TSO (not necessarily be TSO'd). So unless it's a transponder or GPS navigator, it doesn't need to meet, or be, any TSO.

    Going Experimental?

If it met/passed the TSO requirements, it would be TSO'd equipment. Some equipment for some functions (ADS-B, RNAV GPS) must be TSO'd, but other equipment doesn't necessarily need to be.

    Jeppesen vs. Government charts

DAFIF definitely exists, though it's not nearly as complete as you'd want it to be. Many, MANY approaches are not in the DAFIF database. It's also nowhere near 100% worldwide. If the USG doesn't fly to that airport, it's hit or miss whether it'll be fully included.

Pretty sure that was caused by the wind.

    Pingstation: ADS-B fears Commericalized?

If your aircraft is equipped (Sounds like it was) then it's definitely against regulations to fly without it on. Not saying you, or other renters, are going to get in any trouble. But aviation is built on pilots following the regs.

    Pingstation: ADS-B fears Commericalized?

This is far from the first ADS-B ground receiver. There's a wide variety of commercial and not-so-commercial (DIY) options that have been available for years.

    Terrafugia

That makes sense, since there flight test operations are based in Nashua.

N/A Anyone try the Oculus Quest yet?

Facebook bought them in 2014.. And you cannot use the new headset (Quest 2) with just an Oculus account. Facebook account required

N/A Anyone try the Oculus Quest yet?

Been loving mine since Christmas. It truly is immersive. Plus with a little bit of skill you can easily connect it to a gaming PC and run "traditional" VR games that are too much for the Quest to handle itself. Quest LInk (with a cable) works great, wireless link (Wifi only) works nearly as...

    GNC 355 or GNC 255

I'm genuinely curious, what additional options does a second VHF NAV give?

Instrument Training - Is Simulator Needed?

I flew 1.0 in a Redbird because I wanted to see what it was like. If the weather was better that day I would have flown a real airplane, as planned. Definitely not necessary to fly a sim if you don't want to.

    Raptor Aircraft

I had to watch to see what he said.. That's incredible. He doesn't know what TRIM UP means, but he also admitted he didn't even know what mode he was in (PIT was active, ALTS was armed).

    Flightaware Altitude Reporting

I wondered about that, does the SkyBeacon actually have a pressure sensor? I never found a definitive answer. But FYI, it is acceptable to use geometric (GPS) altitude in UAT ADS-B out systems.

    Certified vs Experimental LSA

You don't need ADS-B at all to be a SLSA in the US (Not certified, but close enough). What model are you looking at, and does it qualify for SLSA in the US? If not, I'm not sure how you're going to register it here, unless it's EAB.

Pretty sure his Australian accent isn't from Europe...

    Flightaware Altitude Reporting

That appears to be a different issue. Flightaware correctly reports that as Silver Air 616, which was a Gulfstream

    IFD missing airport

That's an easy answer. Jeppesen will add anything you want, as long as you're willing to pay for it.

I may have a spare chromecast laying around, if you want to give it a shot.
