    R182 and GFC500 STC (finally)

@denverpilot isn't all that bad for a straight legged 182 guy. I certainly had my doubts before meeting him. I think we will skip the yawn dampener in our, plane is pretty fun and exciting, I never have to stifle a yawn.

Cancelling our install. Getting our old auto pilot taken out since it isn't working anyway with the G5s. Thanks for the tip.

CFI's -- Would you sign them off?

Seems to me that if you can’t tell if a guy is ready after flying with him for 7.1, you aren’t really in tune with the student.

My R182 is now straight legged

I have seen a couple issues recently one was a pressure loss (and ammeter spike) from and o ring leak, landed pulled the CB and flew home with a pink belly. On replacement is one of the inspection plates I learned that one of the screws was longer than the other and it was touching the gear...

    Northern CO suggestions

Rental cars would be the only challenging part but all of the airports have courtesy cars to go pick up a rental, of the company won’t pick you up. We are based at KBJC but anything would suit your needs. I would stick to KGXY if that is where you are meeting. As far as getting over the passes...

    Supervised TruTrak AP install questions

We are looking to go the owner install route and under supervision of our IA. Looking through the install manual and it appears to be pretty straightforward. So far the only changes to the airframe I see are drilling out three rivets in the L-aileron. The quote was around $9K installed but the...

    Anybody use CBD oil?

Fairly well accepted by whom? Racism and misinformation, like how it was supposed to pay for schools? Meanwhile cops are finding high school kids in parking lots, so high they can't remember their name but CBD is safe. I guess it keeps the student teacher ratio low if the kids are out smoking...

    Another CFI Thread

I would suggest you start reading the books now. The thing I found teaching people older than me, I got my CFI at 40 was knowledge retention. Perhaps you can cram still like you did in college but I personally think that is the quickest way to forget things and have less knowledge than the...

Accelerated Multi training in South West

I would be interested to hear the DPE backlog down there. That seemed to be the biggest hindrance to getting something done quickly around Denver.
