    Embry-Riddle vs FBO/local

Didn't you say an educated populace was a good thing? We are all just trying to learn here. I guess pilots are too dumb to understand some points of view. My side piece (shh don't tell my GF) is done with annual and dying to fly so I gotta go.

    Oil on left side plugs

Or the rings are not seated on the wet side. You have to take everything all together. We have a probable intake leak on #1 so the far right of the picture and it appears to burn clean. In cruise #4 burns hottest and there is a bit of oil on both. This engine is beyond TBO with 78/80...

    Oil on left side plugs

May or not be helpful but you can expect a little more oil on the bottom plugs, usually. Should be cleaned at annual. All will look a bit different.

Who has the wildest paint job

I think we might have to go for a wrap next time. Base white paint and just some vinyl graphics so we can change it on a whim, or if we want to change the look every time to run drugs.

    Embry-Riddle vs FBO/local

I am 46 with an ATP. Can’t fly for anybody because my boy has two years of HS left then I will try my hand at it if all the ERAU graduates to kill the pilot shortage trying to pay back their student loan debts at $26/hour.

    Embry-Riddle vs FBO/local

It does say worldwide campus on my ERAU degree, the price was about $15K less per year. I did it for the piece of paper as I run my own business and so nobody to impress but myself. The question is, do you require a degree? If you are doing it for the self-satisfaction then do it. Don’t rack up...

When does it become "Mountain Flying"?

The route is good. You will find you will want to turn NW quicker after you realize that those big things sticking up are pretty.

I say rack up a bunch of debt and hope that somebody else pays for it. I mean why should you have to pay for your debt while not even attending a party school where you are clearly unhappy. Full disclosure: I have a post-graduate degree from ERAU, no student debt (though I would gladly have...

Aircraft Registration Renewal - FAA or (private service provider)

Only one way to know is to ask. I know we got the not-as-cheap as the FAA service for our renewal. Had they been around when we initially changed from private owner to LLC I think it might have been a viable option. We got it right eventually but it took three attempts.

Can a non-current instrument pilot file IFR on a VMC flight?

The FAA assumes that if you file IFR you intend to fly IFR. I read that somewhere. might go hand in hand with forgetting something on your medical. The FAA doesn’t default to “he must have forgot” the assume you intended to deceive. So why would you file if you didn’t intend to fly, barring a...

One could infer that you inferred too much. Now you feel the need to defend a five-poster who has already overstepped the bounds of decorum.

Can a non-current instrument pilot file IFR on a VMC flight?

Do you always ask people to do your research for you? To fly in the system you have to be rated, current and capable. https://www.pilotsofamerica.com/community/threads/file-ifr-when-not-rated.57248/ @JGoodish
