    Island Airways -Beaver Island crash

Looks like the NTSB gave a short summary and identified the Pilot as William Julian, also speculated on wind at the time. RIP. https://www.9and10news.com/2021/11/15/new-details-released-in-beaver-island-plane-crash/

    Island Airways -Beaver Island crash

Hmm not much information yet on this one. How was the weather that day? I know later in the evening there were some snow showers all over MI but don't know around 1-2pm. There are no published approaches into Welke. Only a GPS approach into nearby KSJX. Weather often low clouds and foggy...

    Island Airways -Beaver Island crash

Too sad. I was supposed to go there a few weekends ago. Beaver Island is such a nice place. I usually fly to the nearby KSJX airport due to longer and wider runway. I think this is the flight! RIP. The couple was just on the news for their new Vineyard! :(...

172 Crash near KFWN (Sussex County)

What is strange is that ADSB goes silent at 6000. If they were in an induced stall, as the ADSB and altitude suggests they were doing, why is there no data all of a sudden. Usually we see a rapid descent with increased airspeed before it cuts out at lower altitudes. We've seen that in other...

NTSB Report: Nov 2019 New Bedford C150 Crash Cause -Carbon Monoxide

He tested negative for CO(Carbon Monoxide), unless I am missing something they are not indicating it was CO poisoning. Died of blunt force trauma. They could not examine the brain. Its speculation of course but it could have been a stroke?...something definitely impaired this fellow pilot...

    I landed gear up

Scary that in this guys ADM repertoire is -risk your life to fly back home with 2 bad props! There are some interesting GA pilots out there flying among us.

Sewage hits the fan and other strange accidents

Taking the risk of giving Dan Gryder new ideas...these are the types of accidents he should be looking into. :)

    Plane down near Dallas

I occasionally take the time to send my well meaning friends some Motor Vehicle Accident reports and ask them if they are ok. 5 passengers, I wonder what type of plane.

Is Dan Gryder the biggest asset to aviation on youtube?

All of us here for starters. ;) I dont agree with many things that he says, but he found an empty space and filled it providing content....some useful...some not so much.. and yes some offensive. But everyone is always offended nowadays. So much so that they keep watching him and providing...

Is Dan Gryder the biggest asset to aviation on youtube?

No it is not! I don't think anyone here is implying that it is humor to slander deceased. He does provide some interesting perspectives on accidents. From what I have heard him say its criticism of the actions pilots may have taken. That is not slander. Granted it is a sensitive area but...

Is Dan Gryder the biggest asset to aviation on youtube?

To answer the question. NO! Can he be an ass? YES. Is he a perfect individual? Hell No, but none of us are. Can he be offensive at times sure. His detractors use this to knock him down...why? Because he OFFENDS them. I personally like that he is offensive. Is he always right...

    Mid-air collision. Chandler, AZ

If youre going to make nonstandard turns in the pattern you need to let ATC know..and get approval...I am feeling too lazy to open the rule bible...but its got to be in there....or at least out of abundance of safety. Anyhow...who knows what was said and done. Who got approval to land first...

    Mid-air collision. Chandler, AZ

Hopefully they will determine the errors that lead to this. It does not make sense to do a simulated engine out in a busy pattern with 2 runways being used and helicopters in the mix...but how else to explain the short base turn of the PA28 after 10s of good pattern turns. Tower communication...

Coast Guard Rescues Pilot in Lake Michigan Beaver Island!

Its so annoying. This sort or nonesense moron crap makes my friends and family not want to fly on GA panes. Huge disservice to all of us that work hard to stay safe in GA. FAA should have pulled the plugs from that plane and slashed the tires.

    Bo down Pembroke Pines, FL

I think it was already at a steep bank angle before brushing the palm trees. If you look at the street view, I think it's unfortunate, they have very elevated power lines right over that area especially from the direction he was coming from. I guess the investigation will easily show if he hit...

    Bo down Pembroke Pines, FL

Thanks for sharing this. Looks(street view) like there are many power lines in the direction they were flying just prior to the crash. If he was trying to land on that road that is awful and maybe explains why they were spinning at high speed. Just an extra element of bad luck. RIP

South Lyon Michigan (Y47) Comanche crash

Tough crowd. Sure perhaps it did involve icing....although I thought the indication was that there was no reported icing in the area(granted does not mean icing was not possible)....What we do know is that there was a non instrument rated pilot, without a weather briefing, landing at an airport...

South Lyon Michigan (Y47) Comanche crash

Maybe take this to a deicing topic. This accident did not involve any icing.
