Well that was helpful. In comparison. MY empty weight is heavier and arm is 84.4 which is much more forward than most. That’s what Is on my w&b paperwork from the last weigh.

A weight and balance was last completed approximately 16 years ago. I think it’s time for a new one.

So with this, each hole the seat is moved back from the front I could move that arm by two inches? Just curious here though I’m going to have to just go out and waste 15 gallons of fuel.

I’m using the one on foreflight and it has two. Others I’ve seen online for the 140 have one. Totally confusing.

So these numbers are good for the 140 also? Looking online my arms are different than all other 140’s.

Yeah my plan is to get it weighed out. The numbers don’t make sense with how the plane flies. As far as the FAA website, does it contain the data for a 140? Or, is there a location I can find the arms for the 140? The 1969 owners Manual is no help.

I’m curious if anyone can help me with this. Without getting crazy and inputting all of the data, my weight and balance states my cg is too far forward anytime two of us are in there don’t seats, even filled to the tabs. We found it’s definitely not the case because the plane easily climbs nose...

Yeah I purchased a new one expecting delivery this week. I’m gonna try the air can and see if that clears it out. Just hoping some of that gunk doesn’t make its way to a fuel line.

Yep. That’s what it is. I had two of them replaced and it’s only in this one tank. I ordered a new one to replace it.

I have a Cherokee and recently had the two wing fuel sumps replaced as they had been leaking. Now the one under the right wing appears to be blocked with some kind of funk so fuel only trickles out. I can sometimes wipe a tiny tiny bit of dark slimy substance from the tip of the fuel tester...

Hahaha.....yeah I wish. I'm sure I put more money into this than I'll get back. I have a new exhaust pipe and magneto overhaul lined up for next week. SMH

I've considered it but the prices are ridiculously higher. I'm only using this aircraft to build hours, though I want to visible as much as I can. I can't see dumping $1000 into an LED, just to sell the plane in two years.

Well I went to take the bird out for a night flight this evening and while preflighting, I observed the 50 year old fat, rotating beacon, lighthouse style, had a bulb out. It was still spinning but the light wasn't working. I've been looking into replacing the whole unit anyway to something a...
