NA OSHA training & small business

First off does your business have any hazards in the work place? Like blood borne pathogens, or hazardous chemicals? I suspect what you are inquiring about is industry specific. Rather than universal....

Minimum Altitude on STAR/ RNAV STAR chart

From a practical standpoint, on a busy day, the STAR assigned altitudes (with the misnomer "MEA") are to proceduralize the pathways in a busy airspace.... I would expect to be at the altitudes called out, and expect crossing/departing traffic above or below me, depending on airspace design. It...

Minimum Altitude on STAR/ RNAV STAR chart

In the interest of technical accuracy, and slightly pedantic nitpicking, keep in mind that RNAV is "Area Navigation" and there was RNAV in use prior to GPS. You can accomplish RNAV with a DME/DME unit like the King KNS-80 or KNS-81... or with an inertial reference unit (IRU)... or with a GPS...

    Bose X as just noise-reduction?

My ANR sets pretty much dampened much of the lower frequencies... like engine/prop noise.... but not the higher frequencies of human chatter. Kind of like sitting in my truck with the radio blaring, and then I cut the power to the subwoofer...

    Baron 58 vs Cessna 310R 5-6 Adults?

When you burn fuel from ANY tank, the fuel pump supplies more fuel flow than the engine needs. (Referring to these particular fuel injected engines). So there is fuel being drawn from the tank, fed to the fuel system and the excess is returned "SOMEWHERE". Some planes have a complex fuel...

Why doesn't the FAA want GA to become more mainstream?

    Presidential TFR

I'm sure there's a lot of things you've never heard... And thats ok.. I refer to him as Jr.. as in Papa Bush for 41 and Jr Bush for 43... and nobody I've met until now seemed confused by it. First for everything.

Why doesn't the FAA want GA to become more mainstream?

Single point of failure - crankshaft position sensor. And every engine I've ever seen had only one. Maybe there are some out there I've not seen with more than one.

Why doesn't the FAA want GA to become more mainstream?

Then build one. Ex-Am Built is waiting for you.. At one time I had rebuilt a Mazda rotary engine and helped install it in a plane, and instrument it with a vendor supplied EFI controller and PSRU . The devil (and reliability) is in the details..

Why doesn't the FAA want GA to become more mainstream?

One way to look at the FAA is that their job is to protect the public. First foremost and always. Not to promote aviation or protect pilot interests. Its to ensure the public is "safe". From a bureaucratic and regulatory viewpoint, the way you do that is with regulatory structure and...

    Mogas STC - Ethanol Removal

Talk to a petroleum distributor... if you have the ability to store it, you might be able to buy it in 500-1000 gallon quantities without ethanol. It may be cheaper than 100LL once trucking costs are factored in.

Buying an SR22 to train in

You've gotten plenty of input on the topic at hand. Things that will make your training go faster/be more effective: 1) do ground school in advance, before you start logging hours.
