    Review: Budda Belly vs Gojo

What is the opposite of a snow-bird, and where do they go?

I was in San Francisco for 10 days in July. I wore a hooded sweatshirt most of the time. I froze crossing the Golden Gate Bridge in an open air bus. I thought if I would be a great place to escape th summer heat if your main home was in Florida.

    Review: Budda Belly vs Gojo

Tim - what do you look for in the ingredients that tip you off it is corrosive for aluminum? I was going to pick up a couple bottles of that spray and give it a try.

    Comm. Pilot Privileges

Why not just follow up directly with the DPE? Explain you researched the question and still coming to the same conclusion based on the regulations. As if you might have misunderstood the context of the question. I’m going to be taking my commercial ride in the next few weeks. If you feel like...

    Commercial Check Ride Expierence

Thanks a lot for writing this up. I hope to take my com ride in the next month or so. Although I have not completed the ride yet - I also think the preparation was a great learning experience. I should have done this years ago. I am interested to hear how your Multi engine experience...

Anyone ever washed your key fob?

We just got a new Honda yesterday. They told us if the battery in the FOB is dead you touch the FOB against the start button and it will start one time. There is a key inside the FOB to unlock the door but no key slot for the ignition. Why or how you can only start the car once - I am not sure.

    Flying Doodles

I did hear him mention once that he looked into regaining his medical and did not know if he was going to go through all the hurdles. He did not elaborate - but I am guessing it was not a simple process. In the back of my mind I wondered if he was making enough money off of his YouTube...

    Live feed from OSh....

As Groundpounder mentioned -this happened at Appleton. I am wondering if they were not tied down. It is a shame about Jasons plane. I saw the pictures and it looks like it can be fixed - It looked like they are going to have to leave it there a while. I saw on FB that John (Fly8MikeAlpha)...

    IFR Routing KUNV to KONZ

Mark - l am based at CAK south of CLE and go through their airspace regularly going to the islands 3W2 Put-in-Bay. You can pretty much get direct anywhere you want go. Once in a while CLE will give you vectors for arrivals. You might try filing KUNV ACO VWV KONZ and ask for direct KONZ whenever...

    Hogan Assessment (???)

Off topic - I just spent last week in the Bay Area. It is the first time I was out there and was shocked to see how many homeless people are there. We were in San Fran, Oakland and San Jose. There were villages of people living under bridges. It is a serious problem there.

    All2Fly Flight Academy

You might try @write-stuff He is a long time CFI from the area. He has on on-line ground school - I am not sure if he is still teaching out of a school or freelance. He likely knows all the flight schools in the area. If he is not teaching - he will likely know who to reach out to.

    Hogan Assessment (???)

I have been in Engineering 35 years and the same thing has happened with HR screening resumes. In the “good old days” the engineering manager and a couple of engineers would interview prospective hires and spend some time with them in general discussions. It did not take long to spot BS. The...

    iPad predicament

I would go with the mini. I used to have an Air2. I tried it on the yoke, kneeboard and just setting on the seat. It was just too big for the 172. I bought a new Mini 5 and mounted it on the yoke. It works out well. The angle of this picture makes it look like there is no room to grip the...

    Thinking About a Boat

I was going to say the same thing about Bayliners of that vintage. They were pretty much an entry level boat - attracting a lot of first time buyers. They were nice and shiny with a nice color scheme but they cut a lot of corners on materials. I bought a searay int he mid-1980’s and still...
