    FltPlan Go x Foreflight

I gotta check the Accessbility setting... that might be the culprit

    FltPlan Go x Foreflight

I tried it and it doesn't work for me. I'm using an iPad mini, so maybe that's the reason?

    FltPlan Go x Foreflight

How did you do that? I tried in the plates page and couldn't figure it out. It worked only when I created a folder...

    FltPlan Go x Foreflight

Reving this thread now that I got my IR and CPL. I recently did a few flights using FF (trial, so no geo-ref plates). Things I really like about it compared to FltPlan Go: - Weather briefing: miles ahead of FPG. Very intuitive, easy to understand. Access to weather charts is very nice, easy to...

How is Medical Examine Different for Commercial?

When I renewed my 3rd class many years ago the AME said I would qualify for second class, so I got that since. He said my vision was the factor, being 20/20 with glasses while 3rd class had a lesser requirement.

    Too hot to fly Legally?

Awesome! Please PM me the school you're doing the multi as I'm also interested.

    What's next after Commercial?

That's a nice gig! Definitely something on my radar, although multi is not a requirement for it.

^this. It's very simple to use.

    Garmin G5 simulator

No HSI on the 6-pack plane. Just a regular DG with a heading bug.

    What's next after Commercial?

I know CFI insurance and potential liability are things to consider, but will not be a show stopper for me (I hope)

    Garmin G5 simulator

Exactly! Once you get used to the G5s, your approaches will be a lot easier. All the info you need in a small compact area. I once had to shoot an approach in a plane with a 6 pack after flying with G5s for a while and it was an eye opener.

    What's next after Commercial?

I know the FAA will hold you to higher standards as you get higher ratings but that is not going to be (or should be) a detriment to obtaining them.

    What's next after Commercial?

More or less my plan as well. I still have to focus on my day job but eventually getting the CFI and CFII will allow me to get some small income while flying, and the Multi is there in case I bump into someone needing a right seat in a King Air.

    What's next after Commercial?

I like your suggestion @Pinecone . Maybe a good plan would be this route: Multi -> CFI -> CFII -> MEI. It should allow me to build hours towards a right seat somewhere while CFI'ng. Glider is definitely something I was considering, but ASES not so much. I was also considering AGI and IGI, just...

    What's next after Commercial?

It feels like both are important (multi and cfi) but the 64k question is: which one is better to pursue first? Currently, I'm inclined to get the multi on a week off work, in one of those courses where you train for a week and do the check ride on the weekend, then pursue the CFI after as that...

    What's next after Commercial?

Answering some of the questions: - I like flying both VFR and IFR, especially going places (I'm not a fan of aerobatics or backcountry flying) - Having to renew the CFI rating is not an issue for me. The key aspect is that, after flying with not-so-great pilots, I thought CFII would be much...

    What's next after Commercial?

So I recently got my Commercial and I already have an instrument rating. I'm contemplating what's next. To be clear, I do have a career outside of aviation, so I'm not going to the airlines (50 years old). However, I may want to do something in aviation as a retirement gig. I'd like to see what...

    Osh PIREP

I used one of the cheap Coleman tents. It did well in the two storms we had, although the one on Friday I had to use my weight to keep the tent from flying away... :) Anyway, it was dry enough to sleep afterwards.
