    Kids at Gaston's?

Nope. Sold the Cherokee. If I sell the Cessna within the next week or two, and the guy accepts the offer on the Bonanza, then we'll fly in in the new Bo! ..... if not, we'd likely be driving.... that'd suck.

    Kids at Gaston's?

Jordan and Joshua (13 y.o.'s) will be there. Don't know about the 18 and 20 y.o. yet. And Chel is bringing me, of course!

    My first Gastons experience

I probably need to smile more... I offered rides a few times, and with my planes' "mundane" natures, got no takers. I gotta get a more exciting craft. I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you, though! I like the saying: "A stranger is a friend ya hadn't met yet". I'll do better next year!

    Gaston's firsts

First time to ride in what I thought was the plane of my dreams. It is. I gotta get me one of them! (A Bonanza!) Thanks again, Felix! First ride in a Bellanca Viking! (It was everything I thought it'd be - and more!) Thanks, Dr. Dave! First time to land in Missouri. (Branson, PLK...

    Returning home from Gaston's thread.

Ya know, I like being an example, but not a BAD one... My apologies for the strain, and a "you're welcome" for the demonstration! And yep, I was real glad I wasn't full of fuel, but I sure was thinkin' I'd have been better off with even less!

    Returning home from Gaston's thread.

Thanks, Dr. Bruce, for caring - Diana certainly doesn't have a monopoly on the worrying. And so there isn't too much stress for anyone else, from the planes point of view, there was 'never any doubt about the successful outcome of the manuever'! I had told Jeremy to follow us out as I...

    Returning home from Gaston's thread.

I guessed a 5 kt tailwind, based on the flag by the pool. The windsock rarely ever moved.

    Returning home from Gaston's thread.

Re: Returnign home from Gaston's thread. 3.5 hrs to get TO Gaston's, 5.3 to get home! But, Jeremy in the C-150 made it to Huntsville (UTS) and the rest of us made it to PWG (near Waco) by 1730 yesterday. I thought my departure would've gotten some honorable mention, if there were awards...

    Gaston's 2008 Departure Thread

We were going to depart early Friday a.m.; however, both my older sons have decided they want to come, too! Soooo... Chel, Jordan and Josh and I will travel as expected in the Cherokee, and the teenagers will be flying the Cessna 150! Wow what a family trip! :goofy: Not sure if we'll...
