I'd forgotten what it was like...

Nice write-up, Ed! I still get excited with every flight, even though like you, it's becoming more and more 'about' the destination. I hope I never lose that anticipatory endorphin surge... It makes me feel alive - almost as much as wheels up and breaking out of the clouds and cruising above...

Instead of Monkey Luv its Hare Luv

Kind of ironic that cutting off the feet gives a gear-up landing... If we nip the ears do our radios quit working??

    Gaston's lost and found

Michele is tickled pink! IF and only IF you happen to be there and remember to get it, I'll mail you some postage... if not, remember, it's JUST a souvenir cup. In the meantime, I'm still grinnin'!! Such a great time!

    Current on all but "holding"

Ed, YOU DA MAN! That's quite a bit. When I'm flyin', it's usually for transportation; and thusly my usual goal is to get back on the ground as soon as possible... So I'm left with doing the 'things', but not "practicing" them. Just gotta fly more, that's all there is to it...:P

    Piper 28-160/180

    I've a 1962 Cherokee PA28-160. 1 year of ownership. $28K airplane purchase. $600 annual. $400 generator. $120 tires. $150 pitot/static/tranx check. 7 oil/filter changes. (about 350 hrs). 7 gph average (6-8). I love this plane. But would prefer a Cherokee 6.;)

    I made it...

Congratulations! May you always keep learning... and the big fan keep turning! BTW, in the book, The Killing Zone, it's the authors contention that it's 50 to 350 hrs. This is from getting the PP (no longer under a CFI's guidance) to enough time to have survived (and learned from) a few...
