I'e rented from Enterprise from coast to coast. Most of their locations are really nice. Keep in mind if you flying in and renting for a weekend, they are closed on Sunday, hence another day rental. Renting from a major terminal is another whole deal.

when you learn to bond with the plane you are flying, then you will get it. In the beginning, stay looking outside the plane. Your CFI is responsible for the stuff inside.

Turbulence takes time to get comfortable with. Remember, you control the airplane, it doesn't control you. You make it go and do what you want. You'll get there. You're in the normal majority.

I just bought a Tiger with the 430W, which is quite unfamiliar to me. Lucky me, it also came with the FS210, and I've found setting up flight plans on the iPad, then just pushing them to the 430, is easy-peasy. I'll ultimately learn all the tricks that the 430 can do, but having the 210...

I love this thread! Reminds me of my flight training days! And, I started training at an 'older age', too. Yes, you will be overwhelmed. It's the CFI's job to teach you skills, and as soon as you almost have them, introduce something new to try to assimilate. It's when you can fly it all...

I think the responses to the vote pretty much give the answer.

AirDallas just did the overhaul on the DG in my Traveler after it decided to suddenly just spin out of control. Turnaround time was not much more than a week.

Mike is referring to me. I've owned a Traveler for 9 years, and a Tiger for 2 months, but I've been involved with Grumman's longer than that, as part of my private pilot training was in a Cheetah. I will be unashamedly biased towards the Grumman line. I can't really give you much comparison...
