Please check your multimeter against a known high quality meter. I've seen multimeters range in price from $8 to well north of $150. (The former being a Radio Shack special, and the latter being a Simpson 260 meter in 1970 or so).

Here is a cellphone quality photo of the Connie cockpit sitting outside the TWA Hotel at JFK. I see three lights low on the central pedistal, but beyond that I don't see what is being talked about here. Guess I will have to stop by the Connie on my next trip to JFK. -Skip

My CFI would not sign anyone off (including me!) in thge PA-32-300 Saratoga II until they demonstrated proficiency in landing at Gross Weight, at book short field speed. The deck angle on short final, and the amount of throttle required are both - interesting! I am sure that is just one reason...
