    Weight Loss Meds

Are any of these drugs actually available? I have an Rx for Zepbound, but the Pharmacy says there is none in the supply chain and no hint of when that will change. ??? -Skip

How to R&R cylinder on Lycoming

For those looking to acquire those "Baking Pans", the culinary industry calls them "Sheet Pans". They come in different sizes; I believe the pictured one below is a a Quarter Sheet Pan. So sayeth my wife! -Skip

    Greenland pilot ?

Try contacting @Katamarino who has on POA somewhat frequently, and has flown there during his world-round flight documented here a year or so ago. Have a great trip!

    Resorts near small airports?

There used to be. I don’t know about now. A phone call will be your friend here. The place looked a bit run down the last time I was there for lunch (the Red Mill Inn, if I remember correctly). The restaurant was in good shape, only the cabins seem to need a little TLC. But that was about a...

    Piper Cherokee fuel gauge?

Could the float on the sender arm become water- (or in this case, fuel-) logged and sink over time? If it has been replaced before, with a non-standard part? -Skip

    Forgetting to switch tanks

And then when you refilled that tank, how accurate was the POH usable fuel number? -Skip

Renting out my home flight simulator.

I believe you will need a CFI certificate. Otherwise the student won’t be able to log the time. -Skip

    Resorts near small airports?

The Chatham Bars Inn in Chatham, MA. Right on the “elbow” of Cape Cod. The Chatham airport is a bit distant, but a call to the front desk summons a courtesy car and driver. Definitely high end pricing but worth it in my book.

Opt Out of My Legal Rights?

Two basic reasons: The person or people deciding your fate may be less than impartial because his/her/they may need the fees they get from providing arbitration services, ie: follow the money, and The selection of the arbitrator/arbitrators is controlled by someone named “not you”. -Skip

So I just bought a crate of Liquid Death

How much do you think it cost for fuel alone to take it around the pattern once? Of course add reasonable ground run from the hangar to the runway. Yes a lot of variables, but your estimate is better than mine. -Skip

    Apple blows chunks

I use a three part password: a number component derived from the N number of the plane I soloed in (but not that plane text number (yes I misspelled plain on purpose, this being POA and all), a six letter alpha portion, upper and lower case mixed. These two parts remain constant across all...

    High Performance and Complex Rating

My experience getting the HP/Complex endorsement was an unfortunate expensive time. My prior flight time was 100% in an Archer II. The flight school had a PA-32-301 Saratoga on the rental line. HP, but not complex. So I got my Complex endorsement in that plane. Insurance required 10 hours...

    Pocket knife: Weird or normal?

I think the decline of those who carry these knives is partially related to the decline in the number of those who can use any tool effectively. Maybe related to the decline of Jr. and High School Shop Classes. My daughter, then about 16 years old, got a flat tire while on a double date...

    172/Cherokee gotchas

If you are ever leaning toward a Cardinal, you should pay up for a wing-spar inspection. They are subject to corrosion and are made of unobtanium. I like the cardinal, but it has the spar as its Achilles heel, sadly. -Skip

    No delay

If you taxied faster than a brisk walk you'd leave your wing-walkers Steering Gear and Brakes behind. Those wing walkers were not just out for a constitutional. They had a purpose.
