Material I pulled out looks like this...

I wanted something more custom with diamond stitching, calf leather - usual quotes for these would range around 7k for material alone, then another 2-3 for labor. This guy is charging a little cheaper than airtex and also Includes labor. Hopefully if this works out, I’ll post pictures!!

I'm hoping that a $40 McFarlane Torque link repair kit will resolve my shimmy for now - then schedule a Oleo Strut service later down the line.

It’s a fairly new aircraft for me - but my neighboring warrior II has about 3 inches + of clearance. What got me started was a shimmy I experienced during landing. I’m aware that this could also be a due to the linkages.

How much do you guys think Oleo Strut servicing might cost for a piper warrior? Inspecting my nose gear - found that the piston is depressed more than usual. its about 2.5 inches. Not sure as far as time is concerned - think about 1-2 hours of labor?

Finally fixed the issue - Piper Warrior is back in flight! - ended up being a bad bendix starter - replaced it with a SkyTec Starter 149NL. Thanks guys for everyone's help - shout out to alfadog for the assist!

Minor wear on the ring gear - had to carefully inspect to notice slight wear - safe to say, definitely not starting it unless I have it replaced.
