Yesterday we were 25-30 miles away from my home airport doing maneuvers. My CFI said..Kenny Lee take us to the airport. I’m not saying a word. I set the GPS like a champ even though I didn’t really need it. Turned the correct heading, right rpms, right MP, etc. 7-8 miles out I radioed local...

Making fast progress in the Bo. I have trained in her 16.9 hours and landed 43 times. Previously I wrote I needed 25 hours and 50 landings to satisfy the insurance. I was wrong. I need 20 hours. Yesterday afternoon I finally started nailing my landings. I was struggling with the final parts just...

I appreciate the input but I’m sticking with my CFI. There’s not really a need to get it done by harvest but it would be nice. It happens when it happens. I had to drive to Nashville yesterday for a concert we have had plans to go to for months. 200 miles. Sure bites to drive that far with a...

The only pic I have of the panel. It was the first time to see the plane, and it was on jack stands. I will get a better pic of the panel soon. I promise.

This picture is in Sikeston Mo. Sort of a requirement in our area. It is a 1 1\2 hour drive from home due to the Mississippi River. Sikeston is the home of Lambert’s, the home of the throwed rolls. Evidently they love aviation there. A phone call to them and they send a van right to the plane...

I have been quiet on here for a while. Thought I would post my progress. Started on this venture October 2018. Quickly ran into delays over medical issues. Late June I finally received my class 3 medical and student pilot license. I quickly soloed after that in a Cherokee 140. After the solo...

So, student pilots.. Who are we and where do we stand?

My first introductory lesson was last October. Early November met with my AME for the first time. I have been working through the medical issues ever since. Finally got the medical last week. First solo was yesterday. 4 TO’s and landings. Landings weren’t bad but weren’t my best either. Was...

Good question that I don't have the answer to.

I've not posted updates to this thread in a long time. But here goes. I just received my third class airman medical certificate. I suppose I should be excited but I'm still confused. Below I'll type word for word what I feel is pertinent in this 2 page letter. You are ineligible for medical...

Cardio Doc (2 of them) Both said results aren't showing any problems and see no need for more tests. They do both agree that if I don't change my lifestyle, quit smoking etc, it's just a matter of time.

Little bit of a timeline on my medical. October 8th I applied for medical through Med Express (I know I should have researched a bit more first) A day or two later I made an appointment with my AME. He looked over the information on my Med Express and recommended I gather some more information...

    Stress Test

Bbchien. I appreciate the post. I would much rather know now. I have an appointment with a cardiologist Monday. First order of business is of course my health. I plan to meet with a new AME after that. Cant seem to get any help or guidance from my current AME. I have given a lot of thought to...

    Stress Test

Yes, it does say they require 9 minutes. But it also says not completing MAY serve as a basis for disqualification. My letter goes on to say it will be taken on a case by case basis. So, still a possibility although maybe not too strong. Like you say, either way first thing is get my health...

    Stress Test

I had the stress test Thursday at Vanderbilt. I had to stop after 6 minutes. If I am correct, not necessarily a disqualification? Anyhow, I have a followup with a cardiologist Wednesday, then with the AME sometime after.
