    Signiture lines

To be honest, I was thinking 'nerd' when I asked the question. But, a lot of people put all their ratings in their sig-line, and it is a legitimate rating, so I thought "is it appropriate for this site" was a valid question.

    Signiture lines

I am still awaiting my updated wallet card, but the only pics I have found using Google show that the card will say "Remote Pilot". I have not been able to find a picture of a card showing both a 'standard' pilot ratings and the sUAS rating. I was thinking it would be one card, but maybe it...

    Signiture lines

Ok, just thought I would throw this out there. We all have sig lines with abbreviation that everybody understands, like: SEL, MEL, CFI, CFI, CSEL, ATP, etc So, now that I have added RPC to my certificate, I have started thinking about how I might put it in my signature line. Or, if it even...

Looking for a partner in southern FL to build xc time

How does it cut down on costs? Joe needs 10 hours XC Bob needs 10 hours XC The rental time would be 20 hours Both would pay 1/2 of the 20 hours Thus both would pay what would equate to 10 hours, the same as if they did not partner up. Now, I am not discounting the fun of having someone else...

Looking for a partner in southern FL to build xc time

Not to bust your bubble, but how does sharing a plane for XC help? Only one person can log the time (except if one is a CFI). So, it does not cut down on the rental time. If you both need 2 hours, then the total rental time would be 4 hours.

G5 and Century III (Piper Altimatic IIIC)

Looking at the 337s, I did find a reference to "removed 1C388M and installed IC388-2 Radio Coupler'. Going though the logbooks will take a while. What does the box look like? Tony T.

G5 and Century III (Piper Altimatic IIIC)

AFAIK, my aircraft does not have a Glide Slope coupler. When I look at the manual, it seems to indicate that the only indication on the panel that one is installed is a "GS Coupled" light, which I don't have (that I know of as it may be incorporated into the Sandel EHSI). This discussion got me...

Product Recommendations Sought - Tire Pressure Gauge and Inflator

I use a DeWalt DCC020I. It runs on both 110v, 12v, and DeWalt 20v batteries. Just set the pressure and walk-away. It will run up to 160psi. It can also be used to inflate or deflate air-mattresses or other such things. I got it mainly for trailer tires, but it works well on a/c tires and the...

Requesting a New Approach To Be Made

Years ago, my base airport (I have moved since) checked and the minimals for an approach were almost the same as the MVA so no approach was created. Orlando Approach just vectored us at MVA and if we could see the airport lights, we canceled and landed. If we did not see the lights, we went to...

With my Sandel E-HSI, I put it in Loc Norm. It increases the sensitivity per the manual.

    Kissimmee or Orlando exec

You definitionally want Kissimmee over Orlando. You will also avoid the heavy ramp fees at KORL. Depending on where you are staying, you might consider Winter Haven (KGIF). KGIF has rental cars on the field and much cheaper fuel. KGIF Is $4.55ss, $5.15fs vs $6.21fs at KISM. KGIF will also keep...

Desperately seeking hangar space KERV or T82

You did not ask for a temporary solution. You asked for a permanent solution. You specifically asked for someone that was vacating a hanger to sub-lease it to you instead of turning it back to the airport. Putting yourself above the person on the top of the list whom should get it. Your response...

Desperately seeking hangar space KERV or T82

So you want to find a way to jump to the head of the line? Does not sound very fair to me. Tony T. (Who just waited 4 years for a hanger to open up after moving.)

    Removing goggles on IR checkride

I had a LOT of motion-sickness problems with my IR training. Under the hood, nerves, bumpy and really HOT in central Florida. It was so bad that the instructor (from PIC 10-day training) was actually on the phone to the home-office to see how he should handle scheduling the check-ride. I was...

    Somebody took my 430W

No. Back when, I used Jeppesen which did not require a serial number. When recently started using Garmin updates, I used the serial number sent to me in a pic by the A&P. I did not use the serial number in the log books. Tony T.

    HELP! Insurance Claim Denial

Check all the documents you signed and initialed. My application has always asked "Any STC's, yes/no." I always say YES, but then state: "Just normal STCs for this age of aircraft." One time the insurances asked if any HP increase STC or major air-frame STC's. BTW, since they asked you about...

    Somebody took my 430W

Update: For those wondering about which shop, I have been told that management has changed since then, so I don't want to name the shop. Garmin does not have any records for the 430W in the logbooks nor for the 430W currently in the aircraft. They say they purge things over so-many years old...

Presidential TFR on the day of my checkride, help!

Chip, Who said he would be doing approaches at the TFR airport? I would not expect any DPE to be that stupid.

Presidential TFR on the day of my checkride, help!

I once VFR departed and returned to KSFB when it was in the outer ring of the POTUS TFR. POTUS was in Orlando. Sanford actually had posted instructions for local pilots. Positive control (fly exactly how Departure told us) out by the shortest distance to outside the TFR. No practice approaches...
