    Plane crash on FL freeway

How fast was the car with the dash cam driving? It seemed like the plane was still going really fast, with no lifting of the nose. I’ve never flown a jet…no engines means you can’t pull up?

    Plane crash on FL freeway

From a tv show perspective… because the bad guys (terrorists, drug lords, cops on the take, corrupt politicians [oh wait, that’s redundant] etc) are waiting at the airport

    New case against flight tracking

It would be when you search for n1234 and you don’t get joe pilot at 123 Main Street from the faa (/ntsb if you were in an accident.) You don’t get that info from auto license plates so why for an airplane?

    New case against flight tracking

Didn’t Lindbergh leave the country for a couple years to avoid the press/crowds etc after his son’s death? Seems like a simple privacy system could have been implemented before adsb. Now that the n numbers data is out there it’s difficult to put the toothpaste back in the tube. They could...

Supply chain and Overhauls. Who is affected and how?

Do you happen to know what the exact requirements are for an overhaul? Seems like everyone has an opinion rather than a link to a spec. The faa 43.2 an and b doesn’t spell everything out. Maybe it’s only done at AP school or something and I’m looking in the wrong places. TIA

What's YOUR Best Tailwind Story ...

I bought my 182 in Florida and headed north. The 496 said my ground speed was 193 knots and I pulled out the poh to see if I had misread/misremembered it. Of course I soon figured out that I was being chased by a thunderstorm and needed to land asap. Since then (15 years!) I’ve had a...

Suppose I lost my engine within gliding distance to Area 51

If it really is 70 miles then a glider with a broken gps seems more likely to get there than usual ga plane

What do you use to deice your plane

My Michigan buddy who has been flying since the 70s swears by the credit card method otoh he has hangars so it’s probably a rare occurrence

    Amelia Earhart’s Long-Lost Plane Found?

The months before looking at the results seems pretty unlikely. I bet they’ve already launched or finished the second sub by Iow they are following a schedule lawyers, marketing, submersible team, etc put together months or years ago

    Information overload/Paralysis by analysis

Plane availability, fewer hp needed so less fuel, possibly better weather, etc.

    Information overload/Paralysis by analysis

Funny, I can’t delete the entire quote Anyway, can the op live with friends/family near an airport not surrounded by mountains and at 6000’? Seems like an easier way to move forward. Pick a school with five or ten planes. Not only is that engine work the other poster mentioned 60k but it’ll...
