A tale of two sign girls...

I agree with cheap and callous but….the ones I’ve known have done many things with negative or zero return…like sign girls for new homes.

    ForeFlight Sentry

I must be lucky since I’ve had no issues. A friend also mentioned the same disconnection issue with his. Did support have you run diagnostics or download its logs or whatever?

    NOLA

The street washing machines woke us up every day at about 6am (ten years ago) It was much worse for the people passed out in the street or sleeping in cars or truck beds The freshly washed streets helped a bit with the stickiness but walking through the resultant rising vapor was gross...

    NOLA

Avoid bourbon street and other known tourist attractions like the plague since there’s great food and music everywhere Beware, it’s easy to get emotional at the WWII museum.

    Garmin Avionics & ForeFlight

The annoying part! Garmin guy at Oshkosh told me to connect FF to both of them (gnc355 and the gtx345.) 345 for traffic/weather and the 355 for gps/flight plan transfer…he said if I used garmin pilot I wouldn’t have these issues (he might have been a sales guy at some point haha)

Crossing into the US from Canada with an explosive device.

I’m definitely going into hiding now. Didn’t realize I broke ATF regulations when I flew back from Canada (after eating chili) last year. I’ll definitely register as an explosive device next time

EPA Finds Small Airplanes Cause Dangerous Lead Pollution

There’s a million factors so one probably doesn’t make much of a difference. Anyway, iirc removing lead from paint was also a big deal, because (we were told) little kids ate paint chips. Im sure it happened but am curious if it was 1% of kids or .01% or ?

Maryland - Aerial Jettison of Cremated Remains (over water)

There was a long thread on the ins and outs of this type activity a year or two ago. Maybe this new version of site software has a better search function than the old one. Good luck finding someone. Not sure how many coastal Maryland/Delaware pilots are here.

New Traffic display for ADSB-In devices

Input from a sentry possible? I definitely see the advantage for people who don’t have a big screen in dash.

Forgot to list broken leg treatment on medexpress.

The penalty is that they break the other leg

    ShareMyAircraft.com

Hard to respond to inquiries because the person is usually anonymous. Meanwhile I’m supposed to release info on my plane? Probably being paranoid but if joe badguy were looking for a mark then who better than some guy with an airplane?

    Solution: More cameras

Google glasses did a lot of this stuff but was pulled off the shelves iirc Too creepy, too invasive with no notice (recording everything seen) etc

What avionics does my 182Q need to have for me to take a IFR check ride?

As owner, there’s lots of things to remember for the check ride, here are a couple I’ve never managed to finish: You need a compass rose airport and, presumably, a qualified mechanic, to verify the accuracy of your compass and update your compass card. Has to be done within x days of check...

    Happy Columbus Day

At least one federal agency did this years ago. I once saw a stat that something crazy like 15% of all searches had never been searched before Well, definitely a first for me to search federal holidays by date, looking for the name

Man uses plane to stalk woman

Probably has a flight aware alert so she knows when to look

What do you consider life changing money

I need my kids to have life changing money so they can give me grandkids! Anyway, a friend was recently switched to an Rx that’s nearly 10k a month! Does the government (Medicare) plus supplemental insurance pay for these things when you hit 65 or do they say, not covered? Because setting...
