"Audiences know what to expect, and that is all they are prepared to believe in." Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, by Tom Stoppard, is one of my favorite plays. "The Player," Richard Dryefuss in the movie, says it in Act II. Guildenstern points out that the scene was unrealistic. The...

That is so sad... Everyone should have friends.

The two facts, one lie game

    1) I have NEVER piloted an airplane with a nose wheel. 2) I have NEVER piloted an airplane with a Lycoming engine. 3) I have NEVER flown an airplane with EDO floats.

What's your go-to Concealed Carry weapon?

My boyfriend and I took your advice to "try it before we buy it." Have to say it was 50-50. He got arrested, but I was named "Queen of the Wal-Mart."

Never let anybody play with your knobs

Easy solution: no radios = no squelch knob. :) Non-sensitive altimeters get rid of another knob as well... :)

The two facts, one lie game

I'll guess that one is true and two false. (I've flown over Illinois a whole lot and most of it is pretty flat. Knowing how to read a map and compass would be handy. OTOH you might have grown up in Kenne... and my guess might be bunkport.)

Early helicopters only had one collective, in the center where either front seat occupant could manipulate it. Later ones with two front seats have two, so you can fly "left hand collective, right hand cyclic" from either seat. I have a Luscombe and usually fly it from the right seat because all...

This would actually be well above average in my book. (Wrong) professional sports team in same market area.

You have just made all members of the news media completely irrelevant. In my job if I must double check all of the numbers (facts) given to me by an associate, assistant, intern (been there, done that, got the tee shirt) then I am hindered, not helped, by having an associate, assistant, intern.

That's more like it. :) If it's important to me... Otherwise track record speaks... 92% BS.

Totally disagree... Airplanes do not fall out of the sky when the engine quits. Guns don't shoot people without human beings manipulating their controls. Big hands do not come from the sky and smite people. Most humans look after their own interests-- but don't truly give a rats a** about...

Plane crashes into homes in San Diego, Ca

As an engineer by profession, the media get about 8% correct with regards to stories I have subject matter knowledge in-- peripheria like what day it was and where it was located. Years ago I sent Wikipedia a documented correction of a misconception. The reply I got back was basically, "you...

True... Ding Ding Ding I have PIECES of the ensemble, the jacket, skirt, and some insignia. But the blouse and shoes are new in matching hues, and there are some other items that I'd love to have if the opportunity arises. There were actually FOUR different oranizations that female pilots...

The two facts, one lie game

TECHNICALLY three is true. Each airplane was certificated as a 2-PCLM... Of course in reality these early airplanes have far more in common with gliders than later avian creations. The L-3 has an 11:1 glide ratio and the airplane I learned to fly in was built as a TG (training glider)-6 in 1942...
