    G5 as a turn coordinator

Anyone have a link to the information that expressly states whether it can or cannot be used as both an attitude indicator and turn coordinator?

Can the G5 as an attitude indicator be used as a replacement of the turn coordinator?

    Insurance and the independent CFI

I don’t carry it, only instruct part time and have not much blood in my turnip. I’ve often wondered how many cases are out there of a CFI being sued. My bigger concern is me dinging an airplane when I’m instructing. I’m very cautious and professional, but we all have bad days sometimes...

    Moutain Flying course

Any recommendations? I'm looking for an acutal flying course, not a book or video series. Where have you gone and what was your experience?

    OSH Electric camping sites

Sooooo, can anyone answer my question?

    OSH Electric camping sites

Changed plans and now we're driving up with a 5th wheel. Do the electric sites fill up quick and stay full? About half are full now and you have to pay from the day you reserve it through the end of your trip. That's a decent chunk of change vs. paying the day you get there. Anyone traffic in...

    Bright line bags pirep?

As soon as I read @James331’s post, I thought the same thing. Lol I actually use one of the LA Police gear bags at work and it is decent. I just wanted to check out aviation specific bags.

Anyone have a Bright Line flight bag? If so, which model and how do you like it?

    Fuel gauge inop

My position was that it wasn't legal per 91.205. Then someone brought up that the fuel gauge only has to be accurate when it reads empty, which it did despite the fact that there was fuel in the tank. Logically, you could stick the tank and knowing you're burn rate, estimate the fuel level...

    Fuel gauge inop

So a Cessna 172 has one of the fuel gauges not working. Can you legally fly the airplane? This came up today and there was significant discussion. I didn't readily know the answer and neither did several others. I have the answer, but I thought it would be good to share with others.

    Home HVAC question

Ok. An old hose hose may work. I was thinking of some sort of grommet in the siding . After I looked at that product, I realized I'd have to disconnect the hose to slide it on.

    Home HVAC question

Has anyone tried a product like this? http://www.homeessentialsdepot.com/airex-titan-gs30-outlet-wall-seal-system-for-hvac-line-sets-fits-1-2-insulation-for-siding-applications-2465868/

    Home HVAC question

I have a line set that is creating vibration (and noise) when it exits my house to the compressor. Are there any products that act as a grommet or something similar to isolate it from the siding and reduce the vibration? When I pull it away from the siding, the vibration lessens significantly...

    Aircraft rental in NOLA

We're doing a trip with friends to New Orleans next month. Anyone have a referral for a place to rent an airplane for an hour or so? Just like to do a sight seeing flight in the area. Anything I should be aware of flying in the area, such as the mountainous terrain? Lol. Any traffic in the...

    Favorite coffee

I'm sure I've had PT's, but not recently. I like Black Rifle Coffee, but I can't use 5 lbs and 12 oz bags aren't enough. We have the Roasterie here which is decent, but I fundamentally disagree with comments the owner recently made on something I'm passionate about. I have heard the best temp...

    Favorite coffee

What's your favorite coffee for home? I'm looking for suggestions as I'm switching coffee at home. Not doing Starbucks. I've tried Black Rifle, which is good, but they sell 12 ounce and 5 lb. Looking for a 2-2.5 pound bag, if possible. So what do you drink?
