    POA Cycling Club on Strava

Because of the "First Ride of the Spring" thread, I decided to create a club on Strava for those of us that are also into cycling. I thought it would be a great way for us to stay in touch with our rides and hopefully ecourage each other to move forward with our riding. For those unfamiliar...

[NA] First Bike Ride of the Spring

I'm fairly new to cycling as an adult. My Strava summary shows; February - 51 miles March - 101 miles April - 140 miles May - 211 miles so far but shooting for 250 by the end of the month At least I'm moving in the right direction. I feel like I've come a long way since February. I have a...

Getting to Cherokee NC via 24A

I have flown into 1A5 many times. It is a very nice little airport with a friendly FBO staff. Their 5000' runway is nice too. I would pick 1A5 over 24A if it were me.

Does anyone wash the bottom of their aircraft

After every flight I wipe my plane down (except the belly) with Blackfire Rinseless Wash to get the bugs off. About every 6 to 8 weeks I'll get my creeper and spray the bottom with a very mild solution of Super Clean to degrease. I'll follow the Super Clean by finishing it off with the...

1st Time Camping at SNF - What essential to bring?

Yes. There is a trailer, between Vintage Camping and Home Built Camping, next to the showers that has ice. I'm sure there are other locations but since I camp in the Vintage Camping area it is the closest.

    Auto-pilot Options

In that list they have all of the Cherokees listed except for the 140. I wonder if that is a typo oversight or is the 140 really not being STC'ed with the other PA28s. Doesn't make much sense to me not to include the 140 in the PA28 group.

    Auto-pilot Options

Decisions, decisions, decisions!!! I would really like to put an auto-pilot in my airplane this summer. The poll options in this thread seem to be the hot runners at this time. There are pros and cons to each of the options. Garmin G5s with GFC500 AP - Unfortunately Garmin does not have my...

I was kinda' thinking in terms of vicariously following them, although actually following them would be pretty cool too. I would love to do something like that too. I would love to take a month (or two) and just go fly around the country with no fixed schedule and just take...

    Aspen E5

I imagine between the G5 and the Dynon offerings, Aspen is losing a good bit of market share. As old as the Aspen units are I would think they should have recovered their R&D to the point they could make some deep price cuts to stay competative. If they could or would sell the Evolution Pro...

    Aspen E5

There is not a "NOT" column, they are "FEATURE" columns. The NO in the top of the G5 column just refers to the fact it is not upgradeable. It is saying the G5 does have Localizer and GS.
