My mechanic and good friend John McIntyre had a small stroke when on a fishing vacation up in Alaska and says his flying days are over. He has lost a bit of his vision, and so he has to sell his airplanes. He has a piper super cub, and a nice 180 Cessna. Here are a few pictures and the spec...

    Gaston's Fly-In 2016 - Thursday Oct 13 - Sunday October 16

My good friend from Dallas motivated me to make a greater effort to get to Gastons next year. If I can find someone to fly along with me to remind me to take my meds, I will be there. I still want to make a few more trips into Thunder Ridge with those that didn't get to go, and wanted to.

    Bob's Ramblings from the PB.

I was working on my airplane replacing a small jockey box my mechanic had taken out to replace my old style DG with a new one. I told him I can put that back in. Anyway this friend of mine came in and wanted to know if I would fly to Grangeville, Id. and pick up his brother in law. It seems like...

A super Cub that has to be sold.

yes he says he is selling everything including his hangar in Nampa. I feel so sorry for him as I know the love and care and pains that he used in making that airplane. I would bet it is better than a production aircraft. He just will not settle for anything but perfection in his craft.

A super Cub that has to be sold.

I don't think that is the same plane as I am talking about. Johns plane isn't in Culver and that isn't the right phone number and it doesn't have 55 hours on the engine.

A super Cub that has to be sold.

The plane is located in Nampa, ID. It is marked Experimental. I don't know all of the details. You would have to talk to John himself. He is just a real good friend, plus a great mechanic. He started at 16 and is now 75.

A super Cub that has to be sold.

My friend and Mechanic, John McIntyre, built this great super cub to spend his retirement years flying up in Alaska. This summer John suffered a slight stroke, that has put his dreams on hold. Now he must sell this beautiful Super Cub that he built. It has many extra features, Long range fuel...
