My good friend from Dallas motivated me to make a greater effort to get to Gastons next year. If I can find someone to fly along with me to remind me to take my meds, I will be there. I still want to make a few more trips into Thunder Ridge with those that didn't get to go, and wanted to.

yes he says he is selling everything including his hangar in Nampa. I feel so sorry for him as I know the love and care and pains that he used in making that airplane. I would bet it is better than a production aircraft. He just will not settle for anything but perfection in his craft.

I don't think that is the same plane as I am talking about. Johns plane isn't in Culver and that isn't the right phone number and it doesn't have 55 hours on the engine.

I joined the UFO club thes year and I plan on flying for several more. I will be 81 in Dec. and I don't feel like I am to dangerous as yet. If my money holds out I will fly until I can't pass the physical. Then I will see where I am . I hope you have at least another 10 years and even more.

The plane is located in Nampa, ID. It is marked Experimental. I don't know all of the details. You would have to talk to John himself. He is just a real good friend, plus a great mechanic. He started at 16 and is now 75.

My daughter was here and took all of my tapes to Calif. to have her husband put them on disc. I will have to get it back first. or have her send me back that tape. I will check to see if I copied it off. If I did I will send you the copy.

Well put Mark. I enjoyed each time I attended the POA flyin at Gastons. Met some great pilots and wives and children. It is one of those bucket list destinations, for sure, Mark. :yes:
