I fly out of central Florida (KBOW) to all points north..south..east & west Florida, using either Foreflight on ipad via a stratus receiver, or in a G1000 equipped aircraft, I can't say I've ever experienced poor ADS-B coverage.
70. My wife says It's about time I started acting my age...I said what ? ...stop chasing women ?...getting drunk with the boys ?....stop spending hours in the garage playing with my toys ? ...stop being an airport hanger bum ?.......
And thats when the fight started your honor !:p
Over in the UK right now, but planning on making the trip back to FL for Sun n Fun (10th visit) and knock out my Flight Review and medical while in town as both are due in April.
Great, I promise you, you are in for a real good time, Tim & Peggy his wife are just the nicest people you could ever meet,we've been good friends with them for quite a few years now.
I'll be back over from the UK to do my next Flight Review with Tim in March.
Yep Tim Preston at Winter Haven, I did my tailwheel endorsement with Tim in his Stearman and J3 Cub, you will be hard pressed to find a better guy, Tim has 16,000 flying hours under his belt and 13,000 of them in Tailwheel aircraft.
Like Jason Schappert or not, you have to admire his e-marketing skills, he's gone from being a local Florida CFi to having a world wide on-line membership for his ground school.
Besides appearances at Sun n Fun and Oshkosh he's also done a European Tour speaking at various events.

My buddy first learned to fly at 45, quit his well paid Mechanical Engineers job and went on to get his CFI and hour build to join a regional at the ripe old age of 50 as a FO, that was 3 yrs back and he's close to moving across to the right seat.
He may not have a long career left open to him...
My wife within a couple of days of my checkride,I figured the skills would still be fresh in my mind so she would be real impressed by my flying ability ! ....still not sure she was impressed ...
My wife used to get real nervous flying with me, sometimes so bad she used to describe her legs as like jelly ! she really wanted to be part of the hobby but struggled with the fear side of it.
I enrolled her on a pinch hitter course with a girl CFI, it worked a treat, now she enjoys flying as...

My Flight Review is due in September and I'll be overseas in the UK, Can I take the flight review with a CAA CFI or does it need to be with a FAA CFI ?
I know I could wait until I'm back in the US and make the FR...
Maybe Mr Yeager has mellowed and is a bit more respectful in his twilight years, My old CFI who is now a FO with Delta had him on board a flight last week and he was happy to pose for a selfie with him ...and didn't charge a fee...!!
If you are planning on being in FL then you should go see Tim Preston www.flytailwheel.com
I'm not sure if Tim does full acro courses but as far as tailwheel training and spin training goes he's the master, folk from all over the world seek him out for training work.
He owns a beautiful...
Every time I fly again for the first time following a break (usually 8/10 weeks as I have to spend time in the UK every few weeks) I always wear the old Golf shirt I wore when I did my first solo, as it was a number of years ago it's beginning to look very "second hand" and my wife as now taken...
