Horizon Employee Who Stole A Bombardier Q400 - Another Side Of The Story

That I'm classifying as an act of terrorism. Could argue some screws loose there. But clearly a premeditated act of terror

Horizon Employee Who Stole A Bombardier Q400 - Another Side Of The Story

As some of you have already seen or heard, 4 days ago a guy named Richard Russell stole and later crashed a commercial airplane from Seattle Int Airport. This guy clearly needed some help but already too late. I made a video to share my thoughts on mental heath, an Issue I feel no one talks...

How long after you received your PPL did you take passengers?

Took my wife on a 60 mile ride to grab some burgers 2 weeks after getting my PPL. It was her birthday and I was more nervous than she was. We had a smooth and memorable flight though. Thank God for clear skies!

48 Year old that wants to be a Corporate Pilot?

Can do it. Doesn't have to be an ATP. Several other options are open to commercial pilots.

What's the deal with Mooney at Airventure?

Since they killed the M10 project I think they lost some flair in their game. I would say they lost interest, at least from younger pilots. I saw their booth and walked right past it. The Acclaim ultra is a well crafted airplane but nothing about it is attractive (to me).

    Cool Shots From Oshkosh 2018

I'm creating this thread to share some of my coverage of Oshkosh. As you know this is a week long event with miles on miles of things to see. I wasn't able to see all the aircraft on my list, so please do share some of your coverage as well. Thanks! The almighty Draco Merlin PSA solo...

What the hell is IFR anyway?

Here is my take on flying IFR. I plan on getting my IFR rating sometime soon, and this video is probably more for student pilots. If you are a VFR pilot and ever flown into clouds or IMC, what was the experience like and how did you fly your way out?

Piper Tomahawk 125HP upgrade. Any difference in performance?

Just curious, those of you who own or have flown the 125 HP engine Tomahawk. Did you see any increase in performance? more specifically the climb rate. I don't except any changes in cruise speed but for the climb out on hot/humid days, did the extra horse power make a difference? thanks.

Diamond DA40 or Cessna Skyhawk PPL training Question

Any of the 2 aircraft is as safe as you fly it. - Train in the DA40 because it does have one of the best safety records in GA, and yes statistically better record than the 172. Also it's a more modern airframe. Most of my hours are in the DA40 so I'm obviously biased. But if I had a do over, I...

When Will I Solo (asked many times I'm sure)

My 2 cents: At less than 20 hours I honestly wouldn't worry about solo, just focus on flying, learning and asking as many questions as you can. Get-there-itis can kill as one CFI once told me. That said, it is possible that you have a time builder on your hands, airliner-bound CFI. That could...

    GA pilot decline

We need as many private/membership only flying clubs as we have flight training schools. Flying is like a 2 edge sword. You have to fly often to stay current and with the way the cost have been, there are lots of GA pilots with dormant licenses

    Vans RV-10 Vs. Sling 4

Interesting numbers for the new TSi, particularly the rate of climb @ 1600 fpm. Eco cruise @ 135kts is still much behind the RV-10. But again burning half the amount of fuel per hour is something to think about. Ultimately it'll come down to the overall cost per mile and how much time you're...
