I just got quoted for my airplane insurance, and I thought the quote was pretty fair. If I wanted to add a partner to the aircraft, is it more sensible to have separate individual insurance or everyone be under the same policy? what's been your experience?
Note: Potential partner has about half...
Can we take inflation rate out of the equation? if we argue inflation, then the idea of appreciation or retaining value would be obsolete for a lot of things. My point is can an aircraft built today still sell for the same amount or more 5-10 years from now? based on some of the numbers I've...
Let's take Vans for example? I've seen much older RV-10s sell between $165,000 and $200,000. Historically certified aircraft actually appreciate in value. So how does one determine the resale value for these things?
I run an aviation YouTube channel Mojogrip and I'm looking for pilot/aircraft owners local to Atlanta to feature on the channel.
Big plus if you are in a partnership with your aircraft. This is a side of ownership that I've always wanted to discuss on the channel.
If you're interested, respond...
If it makes you feel better, I might go without the wheel pants on my plane. I've always thought naked wheels are sexier. Then again I'm not sure I want to lose the extra speed I'll have with the pants on.
Sadly you are correct Gary. The pilot you speak of was Larry Bothof. We met during my shoot at Azalea Aviation. Amazing guy, still can't believe he's gone. Hope y'all keep his family and friends in your prayers.

This happened just yesterday. Pilot had reported an engine failure before the crash happened.
Aircraft looks to be a Cirrus from the footage. My guess is they pulled the...
The FAA defines a high performance aircraft as "an aircraft with an engine of more than 200 horsepower"
Now what if the aircraft has an engine exactly 200hp? then it is not considered high performance or is it?
Thanks.
The height of the landing gear can be increased. Matter of fact, I met a builder who did just that. His Saberwing also had a 200 HP Lycoming engine installed.
I don't know how deep your pockets are but a Cirrus would be expensive to buy/own. There are other comparable alternatives that are lower cost. They may not have the Cirrus cool factor, but certainly cost effective.
First hings first though, you need to get your ticket: Safe estimate: $12k -...
