    Palpitations

Hello, I'm 54 years old. I'm in good health, good numbers from recent blood work. Blood pressure is 110 over 75. Been having mild shortness of breath and heart palpitations. This is going on 6 weeks. I had a cardio stress test and results were normal. However, I noticed the palpitations after...

    Air&Space Magazine

Hello, Back around 1999 or 2000, there was an editorial on the last page of the subject magazine. In it, the writer talked about how many years it takes to bring a new grad Aerospace engineer up to speed in doing industry work. I’m looking for that issue of Air & Space magazine. If you know what...

    Vernier Mixture Cable

My RV6 drawing calls out a CT Red VMixture Control Cable.

    Vernier Mixture Cable

I have a vernier mixture cable in my experimental. Over 18 years of consistent usage… When I was ‘turning’ the knob to (counter clockwise) lean it, I felt a bit of a tight spot. I turned the opposite direction and then back towards the same point - again I felt the same tight spot. Now, when I...

    Milling Machine

I would have to say that there are plane builders and plane flyers. I would thoroughly enjoy the build process. Some EAB folks would rather farm it out and just plug and play… To me that loses the true benefits of building an airplane; no gain of information nor education. For instance, if while...

    …When to Hang It Up!

I was amazed to read about an 85 year old still flying his (high performance) homebuilt. I’m in my early 50’s, I figure I can keep flying until I’m in my mid to late 60’s. I guess the other safeguard is the biennial flight review, if that does not go well with the CFI, it’s time to ‘hang it up’...

    Milling Machine

One of the previous respondents said something about safety and losing fingers... That caught my attention - so what safety cautions should be practiced while running a mill? Please comment.

    Milling Machine

I live in Saint Louis MO. I plan on buying the 4x16 mill from Grizzly Industrial. Thanks for all these good responses.

    Milling Machine

I'm posting this question to ask for suggestions on a good size milling machine. There's a popular company that has a 4x16 metal mill for sale. I will also need a rotary table to accurately mill large radiis. But, what size? I would use this mill to make fittings and brackets to upgrade...

    Not Selling my Experimental

I received a post card a few weeks ago from a company named Indy Air Sales. They’re asking if I’m interested in selling my RV. Anyone else in the Missouri/Illinois area get such a solicitation?

    O235 Restoration/Education

Why not a good idea? (I don’t intend on installing it on an aircraft.)

    O235 Restoration/Education

I am seeking advise on restoring this motor for my own knowledge. I’ve removed the valve covers and sand blasted them. What should I do next - sand blast the intake and exhaust manifolds? Thanks in advance for your comments and suggestions.

    Bless the Flight Attendants...

This crazy rise in unruly and disgusting attacks by passengers on flight crews has to be stopped. I think one way to stop this is to not only ban the passenger from that airline, but from all airline flights!
