    Life after C182

As someone in market and finding the 182 didn’t quite meet my needs, I’m drawn to the Mooney Ovation.....

    Thinking about a Backhoe

If you were closer, I’d let you borrow it. It’s tremendous fun to just dig holes and see what cables/pipes you pull up...... and I’ve always wanted to play with a dozer.

    Thinking about a Backhoe

Ted, I have a ‘66 Case 580CK backhoe that has been in my family for 40 years. I use it for helping maintain my small(ish) 4 acre lot that is heavily wooded. It’s truly a wonderful tool that is relatively low maintenance. It has the gas 4 cylinder and is 2wd but my dad built forks to bolt on...

    Round runway airport?

I grew up with cousins that lived in Converse and we used to fly in there a bunch. I don’t think it had real markings like that 30 years ago. An RC group used to fly at one edge there too.

    Best Aviation museum

I just took my family on Tuesday this week. We come down here for a summer vacation annually and we had a lot of fun. It’s not huge, but I’ve got kids (6 and 8) so it was sized right. Got them T-shirt’s too in the gift shop. The P-47s they keep flyable are incredible, there are some nice...

    Tools/Snap on

I’ll have to ask my brother in law what he uses too because he’s an AP/IA. He did tell me screwdriver bits were consumables but I can’t remember what he bought. Also, don’t skimp on torque wrenches. They are precision instruments and should be treated as such. I had mine tested a few times...

    Tools/Snap on

This is something I can contribute to. I was a technician for a very luxurious European car line for over 10 years out of school. I did side work on other brands and needed tools to suit the jobs. My combo wrenches that I preferred were Snap-On and Gearwrench but I have some 25 year old...

For Sale: Club Membership Great 1966 Piper Cherokee northeast of Pittsburgh

Wow. Good luck with the sale. I grew up in N4718L which was a late 66 180 as well and this plane is painted identical to what ours was when my dad owned it. The interior was red vinyl(or leather) seating though and the only difference I can see. This is a trip down memory lane. I love it.

My mission, any others compared to Cessna 182 and Piper 235/Dakota?

I’m new here(first post actually) but am in the same boat(not really a boat, wrong forum for that). I started looking for Cherokee 6s and then got researching. There are fixed gear Saratoga’s available and there is one on Controller now for close to your original price point. It did come from...
