    Florida Chainsaw Massacre

Done it for a decade, and all three Stihls and one ancient McCulloch start easily.

Or, add your 2 stroke oil to 100 LL. No ethanol, and it lasts forever.

    Florida Chainsaw Massacre

The only downside to an electric chainsaw is that the chainsaw resistant chaps will not function properly. The chaps have long plastic fibers sandwiched between two layers of fabric. When the chain cuts through the top layer, it pulls the fibers out and clogs the sprocket, stopping the saw...

You find an obsession in a single sentence. Even weirder.

    Bon Homme Richard punishments issued.

We may have lost a silly old ship, but thank heavens no one was misgendered. This proves the Navy's programs are working to make it the most effective fighting force ever.

    Alice: Electric plane

There is also a story that the idea for the assembly line came from watching a slaughterhouse in operation. Animals were hung up and moved on an overhead conveyor system. As the carcass moved, a different operation would be performed. It was a disassembly line. The story is that Henry saw...

Why are Cessna Skymasters not liked? Or are they?

It is one of the very few twins a 70+ pilot can own. At that age, no one wants to insure retracts, no matter how much TT or ratings you have. The early ones were fixed gear.

    Some Questions about PA28

I've been on the fence about the electronic mags, myself. Aging mags are a real concern, and at least one should be inspected or rebuilt. I don't know whether the electronic mags are worth it. In some installations the timing isn't variable, so you just have a mag that does not have points or...

    Some Questions about PA28

Doing the prop is no big deal. Do it because it's on the list of things to do, but I wouldn't lose any sleep over it provided that it looks with nothing but minor defects. At 35 hours, you could change the oil. This is the that for my climate I go from straight weight to multi vis anyway...

Why are Cessna Skymasters not liked? Or are they?

Many people love them. There are some real practical advantages. If you're not on top of your game, there is a period of time when an engine loss might very well be troublesome. The vulnerability is different, and I think less in centerline thrust. There is no Vmc roll. My very first CFI...

How much do you spend monthly/annually on flying

If I thought about it, the medication they'd put me on would cause me to lose my medical. So my rational side and my aviation side have come to an understanding- Don't ask, don't tell.

    Some Questions about PA28

Borescope the engine. If the valves and cylinders look good, I would buy it. Depending on how many hours on the last oil change, change the oil and cut the filter. If there are screens, pull them and look. Inspect the media, spread it apart and look in the folds. You may want to solvent...

    my only issue with DART

I'm about done with all of this crap. I hope they can change its trajectory so it's a center mass hit. On the Earth. It's been too long since we've had an extinction level event.

Do wheel pants make a difference?

The problem is that knot or mph is too coarse a measurement. I propose a milliknot mkt and microknot mukt. Doesn't it sound much better to say "These wheel pants add about 370 microknots to my TAS at cruise."
