I did it for years. But, I also had my own airfield/hangar at my home at the time. I currently own acreage, but this acreage isn't really suitable for an airstrip. I've considered a 'copter for that reason, but helicopters don't inspire me like airplanes.

I don't even know what you're trying to argue anymore. They say in the video that the helicopter crashed at 1085 feet. You do realize the hills around the crash, ahead in the direction they were pointed, rise to 1600+ very quickly, right? And they also say they were descending at 2000 fpm...

I can't see where it might indicate how long after the crash these pictures were taken (but it was still very much on fire). Certainly the crash sight was beneath the cloud deck at the time.
