    Airlines based out of MCO

U understood. I have looked into silver airways and then transition to a mainline but the 34 bucks an hour seems crazy even for a regional. Am I wrong?

    Airlines based out of MCO

Hey all, I’ve been researching the whole commuting situation and decided it’s not worth the stress or time. I live in Jacksonville and am roughly 2 hours from Orlando international. I have two questions, first one is will airlines like southwest, spirt etc hire right after you have 1500 hours...

Does anyone know of flight training Scholarships?

Really glad I found this site, tons of helpful people and info. I’ve applied for EAA and AOPA flight training Scholarships. Was wondering if anyone knew of any others available to students. The school I’m going to get my atp through is about 45k without private so every little bit helps...

Will the major airlines drop the required bachelors degree due to the pilot shortage?

I know there isn’t a definitive answer yet. Just curious what people think. I’m starting flight school in 2 months and my ultimate goal is united. They don’t require a BA but it’s “preferred”. I heard 2% of their pilots don’t have one so that isn’t super comforting haha. I plan to get an...

How much do airlines/private companies care about a bachelors degree?

I’ll have to price out at more schools. That was the general business whatever bachelors for my local college.

How much do airlines/private companies care about a bachelors degree?

Local college gives me CPL Single, multi, CFI as an elective and a R-ATP 1250 hours. Flight school is the same but includes CFI and 1500 ATP and no degree. The flight school the college contracts with just doesn’t have a great reputation or success rate.

How much do airlines/private companies care about a bachelors degree?

That’s a great point. Corporate has always appealed to be for some reason but I do need to keep an open mind. So if I get a Bachelors in business or something then go into CPL wouldn’t I spend more? Correct me if I’m wrong but flight school is around 60k and a bachelors where I’m at is around...
