Depends Nope. I know of a Cessna 172 in KPKD, not sure on the examiner. So looking for someone in the instruction business who can line it all up.... less hassle for me...

Thanks. Been talking to the Fergus Falls airport manager. Not heard that name before. Hoping to find a rental and knock it out soon. Talked to him. He is also a DPE. His fees structure is a bit too high for the amount of instruction and time I need. Basically he wants a flat fee up front + DPE...

Thanks for the reply, all. I took the ride once in 2015. That was after on and off training for almost 2 years. I do not own a plane yet. Hard to find a decent rental, instructor and make it work with the tough work schedule I had. So I've got the requirements and all of that done - going up...

Not sure. Hangar that plane was kept in collapsed during some inclement weather in 2013 or so. Owner/flight school guy had another plane that a student put into a ditch. Sold it all to a new operator and I think they cobbled the 2 together and had one nice plane. Not sure what the tail # is, and...

Congrats. 92 is a good score. I got a 90 on my written, which has now expired. Hoping to redo it and pull a full 100 this time. We shall see.

If you can do at least one X a week that is good. Aim for 2 X a week. I aimed for one every week, but ended up with less than one every month.. eventually down to once every 2 months. Busted.

If you can afford it, then do it. I busted my ride after flying off (mostly!) and on for almost a year and half. When I redo it; I'd be going to an accelerated program.
