    Zero confidence - help!

Keep going up with CFI. Confidence is a funny thing. sometimes I have all the mojo in the world and I feel I’m on my game and other times I feel like I’m lost and maybe I shouldn’t fly. Lol It depends on what aspects you lack confidence - as someone else mentioned. Decision making? weather...

    Mandatory Quarintine?

And as an FYI - the self administered test have about a 33% false negative result. Some are “pooled test” where the group of test are all done as one and if any one is positive everyone is told to re-test. This is a horrible non-standard testing protocol which creates the sense in many people...

ATC failing to alert pilot that they’re ‘too low’

I think that often times we make assumptions about “facts” that a jury evaluates. It’s hard to assess these cases from reports. Yes, I’m an attorney. I too find some cases puzzling when looking at what’s posted and trying to understand how a jury could find negligence on part of ATC for a pilot...

    Where to camp?

So after spilling the beans to my wife on massive cost of recent repairs to gear and upgrade of 430 and troubleshooting autopilot she said “well we need to head off somewhere and use this thing!!” I live in Mass. looking for some ideas in southeast, Midwest to fly and camp. Plane has 90 gallons...

For Sale: Aircraft 1982 Piper Archer II - $80,000 - SOLD

When I was looking to buy, I was surprised how much Archers sold for. They’re a popular plane and seem to have good resale value. For me, a faster plane (Comanche 250) was a better deal. I’d say with engine time where it is $80k may be a problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So, uhh... wow? (pilot in class Bravo without clearance, McCarran)

Honestly, that a-hole should lose his license for good. What’s scary is that probably won’t stop him from flying because clearly he doesn’t care about any rules, regulations, or safety of anyone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    The cost of an error

So you’ve had corporate legal battles that you likely didn’t think were fair or just and you spent thousands to your attorneys and for that you feel the families who lost their daughters and husbands are in the same boat as you? I’ve had many many people walk into my office and tell me “they’ve...

    The cost of an error

There is virtually no risk to the pilot’s wife. Even if a judgement was rendered against her husband she wouldn’t be liable and if they tried to collect from his estate it would likely be insolvent. Naming the pilot only means that they can pursue that pilots individual liability policy - if...

Attempted Atlanta to Los Angeles, but the Yankee only made it to Phoenix

On the other hand it helps others understand the potential issues that can arise. Unfortunately I didn’t consider those violations when I first read it because I was focused on his story of getting where he wanted to go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

stec 50 to 55x upgrade. Is it worth it?

This is interesting. I have the 50 and have been battling alt hold issues. All the servos are fine and unit was checked by Stec. I just upgraded 430 to waas. Guessing I would need electric trim added to make use of glide slope and VS functions? Any idea of cost on that? Sent from my iPhone...

It’s interesting. My read was that his concern was one of safety and not airworthiness. But I could be wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Aircraft financing

Some of us just aren’t that well off I guess. I have a plane loan and it works out fine. It’s a car payment with better terms. What I see people spend on cars and then finance them for 6-7 years is incredible to me. A plane has better residue value and I was able to buy a better equipped safer...

    owner/Partner leaving an owner/partnership?

It would appear you just gained a 1/3 interest in aircraft as a gift (1/6th each). If he’s getting divorced or should die his ex or estate might have an issue too. If he files bankruptcy the Trustee could have an issue Too many scenarios Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
