Does anyone know how expirations and renewals of BATD work? I am thinking of buy a BATD but all say letter of approval expires X date. On their websites it says they plan to renew before expiration but how does this work? Do they just get a renewal and that's it. Do you have to pay for upgrades...

Yeah he didn't say either. I was expecting descend via Bridge 9 Arrival or just an attitude but all he said was cleared Bridge 9 Arrival.

That's what confused me. But within a minute they gave me a cleared direct and new altitude. But for that one minute I was torn looking at my MFD. So I want to know for future reference

Probably a dumb question considering I've been Instrument Rated for over a year but it's a first for me.... If ATC says "Cleared via Bridge 9 Arrival" do I fly the altitudes on the chart? Or just fly the fixes and wait for ATC altitude changes? I know if ATC says "Descent via Bridge 9 Arrival"...

I know you can do an approach on a closed runway, as an example when you are circling to land. But if the whole airport is closed by NOTAM from X time to Y time can you do a low approach during the time it's closed? Not closed for noise restrictions, closed because it's middle of nowhere.

They knew about the two planes but seemed obtuse. Agree that a personal visit might help but I've learned a long time ago that if someone doesn't want me I am not going to chase them.
