    SSRIs and deferral timeline?

It will be 90 days off of meds and stable before they will consider. I know it says 60, but buspar will make it 90. This is assuming you weren’t on again off again with the meds pointing to a reoccurring depression. The psych will do a drug panel and alcohol biomarkers which will show alcohol...

Possible 3rd-class Medical Certificate disqualification due to old diagnosis

It is possible with a misdiagnosis, but it is t going to be fast, cheap, or easy. HIMS AME is a must to start with. You will have to see a HIMS psych to un-diagnose you. Not easy, but possible. Can’t stress enough though to start with a HIMS AME.

Trying to get my 3rd Class Medical with prior substance abuse showing up and no legal trouble

I am from Eastern PA. I flew to Chicago to see Dr Bruce. Well worth the trip for his knowledge set on the topic.

Trying to get my 3rd Class Medical with prior substance abuse showing up and no legal trouble

Well, my case is not near as “deep” as yours and I’ll tell you where I’m at. I don’t have a problem, never did. No issues. What i did have was an SSRI (anxiety med) that I disclosed. It was situational anxiety and I chose to discontinue...however, because I disclosed I had to get the HIMS Psych...

Going for 3rd class renewal after taking no-fly meds for sciatica.

Theoretically a lot of people could take a lot of pills tomorrow..prescribed or not. Unless they are going to make him get blood work done to prove it is no longer in his system, which they won’t....the dr and pharmacy info should be sufficient.

Going for 3rd class renewal after taking no-fly meds for sciatica.

Along with a note from his dr stating his end date, yes.

Going for 3rd class renewal after taking no-fly meds for sciatica.

you can print off pharmacy records which will show the last time the med was filled. Even the FAA should be able to navigate through that.

After 1.5 years and OVER $125k, I finally got my SI

Exactly. I think it was probably started with good intentions but has become something completely different.

yeah that association has done wonders.

After 1.5 years and OVER $125k, I finally got my SI

Of course these people care very little about us in the grand scheme...but what if we generate a letter laying out all of the ridiculousness that is FAA medical and everyone on here and APOA and wherever else who has been affected sends it to their respective congressman(or woman). That would...

After 1.5 years and OVER $125k, I finally got my SI

I feel like it’s time someone does something about the FAA and their medical branch. This is outrageous!!

    Past Medical Records

I would guess it doesn’t have to count as a failed test. It only has to be documented use in his health history, which it clearly would be. If they can label me with alcohol abuse for having a high CDT count, in the absence of any incidents, or supporting history, and without meeting their own...

    Past Medical Records

It won’t prevent you, but it will make it a long expensive path..... Unless you don’t disclose that on your MedXpress form, which you will get varying degrees of opinions from people on here.

Third Class Medical and Alchol Offenses

I don’t think it’s being on a high horse. People make choices, and have to live with the consequences of those choices. It’s not anyone else’s fault. When you come on here and ask for advice, you open yourself to the wrath of the forum. Does it suck to be chastised for poor choices....yep...

Third Class Medical and Alchol Offenses

I’m missing the belittling part too. People look to Bruce for knowledge, not feelings. If you want feelings go talk to dr Phil. Some can’t handle cold hard facts.

agreed, they should have a choice...as should all Americans. I have seen polls where “most Americans support staying quarantined” but honestly I think those polls are a bit suspect.

    Did you catch it ?

It’s one thing to have people locked down over the winter when people are far more willing to stay indoors. Enter the nice days and vacation season and try and keep 300 million people locked away and watch real chaos. It’s just not sustainable, on any level. I wish it weren’t a thing, I wish...

Be Careful Rich...start talking facts, logic, and evidence and you will be labeled prejudice. I couldn't agree with you more on this one.

    Did you catch it ?

I guess my question in all of this is....what if we knew about it sooner? Would we then have shut down sooner? Tanked our economy sooner? Severely disturbed the mental health of every American? For what? To NOT stop the virus sooner? I’ve come to a point where I kinda think it’s nature’s way...
