You jumped the shark, Bob. Chip's point was that you can't "vet" these Syrian refugees. Therefore, we should close the door on these refugees. I would go further to say that we should stop all refugee visas, period. At least for the next decade - let the world instability sort itself out...

Well, I've only had my IR for 5 years, and I'm not current, so it may well be JV flying. But doesn't it depend on the approach? Obviously I wouldn't slow down at the IAF on an RNAV approach, but what about these ILS and GPS approaches? Don't you slow it down on your outbound procedure turn so...

It looks like a pretty sporting taxiway downhill on a turn in a tail dragger. :yikes:

But don't forget that you may still need to take that general rule and adjust it for any crab angle in the pattern.

I use that, but I still don't trust it. It's like black magic or something. :)
