Charleston Jet - $2800 alternator on Cherokee

What does your shop quote for an oil change? We know it's a sensitive subject and also know it takes longer than some owners prefer to think, mostly because they conveniently forget (or don't know) some of the required steps.

Charleston Jet - $2800 alternator on Cherokee

Based on what? The same book you use to quote 20 minutes for wheel bearings?

United Airline Pilots Dies In Flight

Yes, for biz-jets anyway. Pilot incapacitation is part of the training. Usually more for co-pilots, but both sides get some single-pilot. We don't kill the guy, however, to prevent excess celebration by the copilot. Instead we just say he "temporarily passed out." work

Yeah, Flightaware tracks show that it's a real burner.

    Crash in Bolingbrook

So in your wisdom that's the way to go, right? Does the market support your theory? Would a majority of pilots say that wierd-looking is a better definition than cool?

    Crash in Bolingbrook

Maybe that's why I don't get any calls about them. I don't keep a record, but typically get a phone call or two on most days about some type of aviation-related project involving acquisition, consulting, appraisal, financial, taxation, budgeting, deal structure, expert witness and the other...

    Crash in Bolingbrook

Even Cirrus seems to be a bit confused about their safety record. Yesterday I received a glossy fold-over invitation to the "Introduction of Generation 5" in Dallas on Oct 14 (FYI if any AOPA attendees are interested.) In a list of bullet points they mention that 72 lives have been saved by...

    Mulit time building programs

Employers don't pay for pilot training for three reasons: 1. They can hire pilots without incurring the cost. 2. They know that pilots will screw them and take another job in a heartbeat if they get a better offer. 3. They know that employment contracts are unenforceable and...

    Bullying

I bought a Mossberg bolt-action shotgun with money from picking cotton in sixth grade. Horrible gun, hated it from day one but no refunds on firearms from Wards or Sears or wherever I bought it.

    Amazing timelapse of Global paintjob

The Citation Encore acquisition job earlier this year had a Duncan paint job that was almost two years old, had been flown 5 days/week. Still in really good condition, never seen better.

    Is a 100 hour required?

Not sure that "most" is an accurate description, but some fall into the category. Many of the legacy airplanes are not being converted.

In Jr Hi if Tommy Hogan was your friend you had no reason to worry about anybody else picking on you.

    My Suggestion.

Looks like a really nice one! I've been wanting one like it, but they are all priced much higher. Would you consider taking a bit more?

    Mulit time building programs

Huh? Are we suspending the law of supply and demand just for pilots or does everybody else get a piece of this entitlement?

If that's true why does SWA require a 737 type rating to get a class date?

Looking at a Comanche 260 on Sunday

Dunno. Some of the POA guys have looked at it before and are more familiar. I just remember reading about it and thought the story was similar to CPA's deal. Maybe somebody will see this thread and chime in.

Can I bring company pilot along on reimbursed flight?

I'd think it would be worth something to have such a guy come along to teach you about crew-related flying vs single-pilot ops. I'd think you might even be willing to pay a reasonable amount for such training.
