I hope they will extend, I was getting tickets at my local IMAX (advance purchase) for this weekend and the theater was practically sold out except some lousy seats. I also hope it will be available on Blue Ray in the future. That's what I heard too.

On something like G1000 I fly with it is really easy. Set your PFD so you get RMI needle pointing to the waypoint and just fly perpendicular to this needle watching the distance which is displayed for you. Adjust the heading every minute or so.

I urge everyone to go and see the documentary movie "Apollo 11", I watched it yesterday in an IMAX theater, really full of very unique, never before seen shots and sequences. Awesome experience, running time 93 mins.

According to some FAA AC you can identify such fixed if you have a "suitable" RNAV equipment in lieu of DME. This was even made crystal clear to me during my IFR oral 2 months ago.

I have another newbie question, do you get proper perspective in this "VR", namely do you see outside scenery in "infinity" whereas the cockpit panel is right in front of you, in other words do you get a sort of pseudo 3D effect? This would be helpful during landings to get the proper 3D effect...

I am no expert of twin engine operations but one of the reasons for V1 is that you will have a positive rate of climb at the end of the runway but this is not the case here - no positive rate of climb is needed in this case - you can actually descend when clearing the runway, perhaps this...

I think insurers love looking at the numbers, perhaps the accident rate at this airport is actually within some acceptable bounds. This may also be the reason why airport is allowed to exist, perhaps things aren't so bleak.
