I think you misunderstood me. I think you should teach short field on the 8,000 ft runway. I think teaching it at my 1,760 foot field give students the impression that it is short when it really isn't. It does require some respect but it is well within the envelope for most planes.

I use Skyvector flight plan. Start with origin and destination then look for interesting airports in between.

28M has a breakfast fly-in 3rd Sunday of each month from April through October. On a nice day we see maybe 40 planes fly in.

KPYM is a great take. Sit outside and watch planes come and go. A little pricey but worth it
