Fun video, but I'm confused. You flew "to Texas". But came out of Hicks?
Gotta say, though, on a weekend, that's a helluva gastro tour. The Beacon for breakfast and then Hard 8 for lunch, then not eat for 2 weeks.
I have nothing to offer other than saying we spent a couple of days there this summer on a road trip. I didn't really know what to expect, but liked it a lot. And, yes, the seafood was off the charts amazing.
That it is. I have a Cherokee 140 out at Bourland.
I was going to let you get answers to your initial question before bringing the hammer down for not bringing any details and pictures along with the post. But just know there will be hell to pay on here if we don't get plane details, home...
I don't have any experience with any specific company, but there are escrow services that handle this kind of transaction. If you know a business attorney, they would have a recommendation for one they trust.
Just looked up Aerovie thanks to this thread. Not sure how it stands up in the cockpit to my trusted FF, but that vertical weather profile is slicker 'n snot!!
Did this very thing last weekend. Definitely do the pre-flight because it's part of the requirement. Taking a flight is one of the options, but there is a form that you need to submit to the local counsel if you are going to take kids up. The form highly suggests going through Young Eagles...
Well, hate to say I am glad for it. But here's to hoping I can make the new date!
Everyone should bring their cool planes to 50F to get cheap fuel (was $3.60 something when I was last there) and show it off to some kiddos. Bonus points if it has a red handle and I can explain BRS to them as well!
Well crap. I'll be doing a campout with my sons' Boy Scout troop at Bourland that day.
We'll be at the FBO all day getting them some Young Eagles flights, and working on their Aviation Merit Badges. But, if after you fill up on great food and conversation, anyone wants to head down to 50F...
That kind of schedule, Houston, Pittsburgh and Iraq ... sounds like the oilfield to me!
No advice, but sounds like a great adventure. Best of luck to you!
There are generally some laying around with a little left in them.
It's a surprisingly fun place to stop and visit?
Bryan, you hit the Big Texan while going through there? It's a bit of a tourist trap, but the steaks are actually quite good.
In the FPL edit window, tap the waypoint that is either before or after the one you are inserting, then choose "Insert before" or "Insert after", whichever applies.
Rubber banding also works as mentioned above, if you know where it is.
I was listening to LiveATC.net when they crashed that one at Oshkosh in 2015. Was impressed to hear that all 5 passengers walked away, and it's been on my radar ever since. The news of the cockpit is a bit concerning, though. I'm what one might call a "fully growed person". So it might be a...
