Generally true, Ask The Redhead how fast things happen with <40 hours when you run the right tank dry on short, SHORT final! Like just before the threshold. Also, the controls are very sensitive if you aren't gentle with them. Yank the yoke and you can get very out of shape very fast.

Most of the above "minimums" were violated long before I had 300 hours. Didn't have a GPS until last fall. 2 of the 4 stops on my solo XCs were airports my instructor had never been to, none of them were to fields I had been to before.

Nick, Do not dismiss the Beech A23-24 line. They all have a generous useful load allowing body and baggage for 2 healthy adults and still carry enough fuel to make3 hour trips routine. You give up a knot or two in speed but you get a cabin big enough for wide shouldered adults to sit in...

Yeah, and because of the interdependence of the functions, the order was important. Sometimes, you could get better performance by issuing 2 init strings to insure that one function was set before the related item was sent.

Are you sure? They warned us of traffic at 6000', 9 o'clock eastbound just before we turned. It was a sightseeing aztec that we watched for several minutes. The 495 kept warning us "Restricted area near" but we stayed just outside of the line on the map.
